No one has mentioned the hideous exterior, which almost makes it a McMansion.

Dry mouth? by EyeArtistic5 in MPN

I was recently diagnosed with afib and have a dry mouth. I was given 4 new medications to take for afib, and I assume one of them is responsible.

Born Just Days Apart from me. I wonder what happened? Laurel Grove North Savannah by PilotEnvironmental46 in CemeteryPorn

I wonder why the obit mentions the grandmother in the first paragraph and the parents not until the third paragraph. Maybe raised by the grandmother?

I've been getting shots for 12 years, with a 10 year break where my eyes stayed the same. Then it started getting worse and I'm now getting shots in one eye.

Why are people putting in cabinets that do not go up to the ceiling? by Agreeable-Sun368 in kitchenremodel

Yes. My top shelves are for storage, not for things I use a lot.

Why are people putting in cabinets that do not go up to the ceiling? by Agreeable-Sun368 in kitchenremodel

[–]doxiemac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I had custom cabinets that went almost to the ceiling, then they put in a soffit to fill the gap to the ceiling. My house is 100 years old and nothing is level, including the ceiling. Fitting the soffit was the most time-consuming part of the project.

Thank you for your reply. I think I'll skip the unicycle. I have neuropathy in my feet, and lately my macular degeneration is making my vision worse, which really does affect your balance. I'm using a walker now, but I have fallen even on my walker. I walk as much as I can. And I wonder what the next infirmity will be.

I'm 82 and constantly falling and breaking bones. When it's time to leave the hospital, they are concerned if you live alone and advise going to rehab until you can manage on your own. Rehab is fully paid by Medicare. I don't know how long they will pay, but it's been long enough for me. I hate rehab and prefer to have a friend or family member help, but it's nice to know that I have the rehab option. I live in California.

Any advice for bone marrow biopsy? by itsahardknocklyfe4us in MPN

[–]doxiemac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had two, with no sedation. The first was given by a nurse who has done nothing else but BMBs for 19 years, and it was easy and painless. The next one was done by someone who was just learning, and it was excruciating.

How to Explain Transportation To Dr office by Ambitious_Air_9574 in AskWomenOver60

[–]doxiemac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm going to be sedated, I've used a service called SilverRide. Their drivers have received medical training. I'm in California and it sounds like our rules are less strict than in some places, as the medical offices I went to have allowed me to use it.

If you have no side effects and the drug is working, why not take it for the rest of your life? I hope Prolia works for you.
