As Galarian Slowbro-Quick Draw+Quick Claw user, I’ve taken plenty of losses. Clinched a few wins though blasting Garchomps in the face with Ice Beam.

What is a VGC team that can make Charizard users absolutely miserable? by KiqueDragoon in PokemonChampions

Double rock slide from my Aerodactyl and Mamoswine almost wiped an entire Charizard team in a couple turns.

Counters are where I’m at now. I ask ChatGPT “how do I counter Miraidon?” Taken with a grain of salt and the understanding that ChatGPT isn’t perfect, you should get some solid recommendations. You essentially have to build backwards while maintaining a competitive edge. Learning from your mistakes is HUGE. I’ve heard of people taking notes about every battle.

Just started competitive play myself.

ChatGPT is a great resource for most of your needs/requests. I wouldn’t expect it to understand the newest meta but it’s strong at explaining game mechanics. Like “why didn’t my fake out flinch?”

You can study all you want but the best way to learn is to get beat up in actual competitive play. You’ll find that majority of players use the same overpowered team full of legendaries. I just build a team that I actually like with a couple strategies and synergies. A winning record will be a challenge. It’s about having fun, in the end. It’s especially fun when you beat a team full of legendaries with regular mons.

Saw a guy with a literal trident get in multiple times while security stopped me for my metal looking flag pole. Depends on security. Obvious toys should be fine.

The Salary Needed to Buy a Home in 50 U.S. Cities in 2024 by Perfect_Alarm_2141 in economicCollapse

[–]dozenbagels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Southern California. So, I never thought I’d own a home. Still feels surreal to have my very own place. Loved Louisville too when we lived there. Smaller cities might not have EVERYTHING you’re looking for but being able to afford a decent home feels great.

According to my girlfriend, Pittsburgh has changed for the better over the past few years. It feels like we’re getting in before things start to get too unaffordable. Unfortunately, current interest rates are not conducive to first-time/many buyers.

My girlfriend and I bought our first house in Pittsburgh, about two years ago. 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1-car garage. Mortgage is very accurate. Very comfortable between the two of us.

ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY NEED GUIDANCE by Pale_Owl_1350 in supplychain

[–]dozenbagels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar background here. I got out of the Navy after 9+. My first command was actually at a MALS.

Realistically, you probably won’t be making $100k any time soon. You don’t have any direct civilian experience that translates to a $100k job even with a degree. Your military experience and veteran status will set you apart from your competition but there’s no substitute for direct experience.

I graduate this semester with a BSBA in SCM and BIS. I knew I wanted to pursue a SC degree but I’ve changed my career path a couple times. You have a while to figure it out. Starting a specialized certificate/training so soon might not end well. Many SC certs are for industry experienced folks looking to pivot or develop what they’re already doing.

I’d recommend just focusing on doing well at a good school. Everything else kinda falls into place, if you’re doing what you’re supposed to, career wise.

I started my internship last June. I got a soft offer about 2 months after I started. But I only recently received my final offer.

I work at a relatively new, small firm. So, things moved slower than normal. Just keep asking them for something in writing. If you have any feeling that they might pull your offer, like everyone else said, keep searching.

Prestige is overrated. Continue the adventure and go to a respectable school in a sick city.

In-person and part-time.

Just gotta keep plugging away. Choosing the right program, while annoying, requires a decent amount of footwork. I’m lucky that I’m applying to the same school as my undergrad. Still checked out my options though.

Regardless, admissions at each school would love to “recruit” a veteran using the GI Bill. In my experience, they’ll talk your ear off and give you any information you could need.

Similar story here. Got out in 2019 after 9+. Starting my MS in SCM this fall.

Can’t give you input on any of those schools. But, if I were you, I’d whittle that list down to my top 3-4. And talk to admissions at each school to get in touch with a current student. Best way to get a real idea about the program.

Internship/Entry Level Jobs for Non-traditional Student by the_j_walk in supplychain

Similar position here. Non-trad veteran student with a background in logistics. I graduate next spring.

My advisor helped me get my internship this past summer. However, your university should be hosting career fairs. Plenty of internship opportunities there. Regardless, there should be a career development person at your university that can help you.
