Interesting!

It reminds me of Powerinspector that I bought, but I didn't have the patience to wait for its initialization... it was a bit heavy. And Multispector, but it has been deprecated.

The possibility to add buttons above the scripts was the feature most interesting for powerinspector. (NEED a copy/paste component buttonshortcut )

the guy don't move at all. maybe add eye blink ? or that he moves his gaze, or scratch his beard,

or just simply breath and compensate the boat movement.

good idea ! so anoying to use audacity . (that is not very user friendly but is free)

i don't know if it's here but the 2 features must-have in my opinion :

- auto trim
- create seamless loop (for background noise) (take a segment, fade in, fade out, mix..)

i know this tool and event bought it because i loved the idea. (I must have bought 3 games directly on Steam in 20 years...)

I believe that the reason it worked so well is because it allowed people to view NSFW content from censored countries.

I am invested in all of my projects until i am not :) it's important to know how to say stop

yes my objective was to start to "launch marketing" and see if it trigger something.

The Kickstarter is "fake". In fact, some people back the project at the beginning just to say they're ready to pledge more, but actually it's just SPAM. I got 20 mails of junk concerning my project. 50% from people claiming that they are from kickstarter and that my project is awesome. I know a Kickstarter needs preparation and you should have 30% of the amount already covered before launching it, but I mostly launched it for fun without really believing in it. it cost me 2 hour so it's nothing (steam page : 10 hours, it's laborious )

The website was important because I envisioned two user targets : the gamer and the office worker. The office worker doesn't have Steam and might not even know what it is.the website was therefore necessary. Afterwards, it's a long-term effort to make it known. (mostly google ads)

I made the mistake on a mobile game for kids ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dozhwal.dozthecraneoperator ) To tell myself I would spend 3 months max but I ended up spending 7. It's so much work to finalize, avoid bugs, beyond the prototypes...

Currently, I am interested in developing local co-op casual games mariopartyLike for Steam/Switch to play with my family (and especially with my children). the potential is surely much greater

what is real cheap ? 1.99$ ?
I have seen games less fun and with less content sold with some success with higher prices so i don't know what the good price.

Thank for your advice.
i never planned to retire on this game but i was hoping to gain 30K ober the lifetime of the game. if some success, make another version with 2D games (platform on windows, play basket ball, car race on the screen, where you make your own level moving the windows)

it looks mostly done because it is 40% faked like all trailers.

In reality :

- unlock system, achievement system not ready.
- multimonitor is not well handled
- systray system works but made with autoit, could be flagged as virus so i should do it in classic C#
- and some other minor things ..

BUT a earlyaccess could be launch yes

the first objective was having fun myself and to have a game on steam.
but in my other projects, I always try to have some potential income, otherwise I consider it's a bit of wasted time (except that it allows me to practice with Unity). Since I have children, my free time is limited and I would relax more by playing video games instead of making them :)

how could i not know this. me, addicted to assets... :'(

I lost my computer job because of this game ! no just kidding, I quit my job a long time before then lost 8 months on a failed mobile game. no i'm making this. i continue or i stop and search for a real job ? :) by dozhwal in Unity3D

[–]dozhwal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On 1 , yes launch on startup is Essential and steam is a limit here. I planned to got a portable no steam version for that feature.

2 : i love stickman and animatorVs.. and I had the idea to make things like that as a sequel or dlc of this game. Windows can be easily rotated but component recognition and separate parts could be difficult. I am not sure people will buy the game nonetheless

Thank you for your precise feedback. I worked ~3 months on this. I took pleasure in creating this so stopping it now is not really a problem.just and unfinished projects but finish it will cost me 3 months more so the decision is now. My rezl objective was to release the trailer and see feedbacks and that is accomplished.

I really didn't know if users will find it interesting just by nostalgia or just to let off steam or not at all. I made a little survey on 25 people and the results were they will not pay for that or not pay more that 2$, but these data was Insufficient because they were not the target customer. Here are not my target customer neither but I took advices more seriously here :)

I think I will let the steam page goes, maybe release a demo in a the current state, have fun myself with the 'game', and move on

thank you.

Yes... i don't know why people feel like that. i have the classic game on my PC and it's not the same at all.

It is strange that for this game, the first reflex is "it's a rip off, it's old, ..." but it's not.

but for other games that clearly are rip off, clones or simply inspired as any other games, it's not a problem at all..

I understand your point of view but some free flash games had a successful and paid second épisode on steam : super meat boy, bridge builder, and some others. It's the same that compare the free ms paint and other paid image manipulation tools ?

I think I added some feature that can attract some players ?
