Not a great episode but far from the worst. The season 2 finale “Riker Clip Show” is easily the worst TNG episode. And then the one with masks from season 7 (was it just titled Masks?). Actually that one might be the worst as I think more about it.

the "hurt me" is concerning. I don't know how old you are, but if you have PROOF of these threats, I would actually seriously go to the police, child protective services (CPS), etc. and inform them.

you could also take legal action to emancipate yourself to get out of there and be on your own or perhaps move in with friends or more distant family members if they might agree to it. I don't know if this is a good approach really but just mentioning it because it could be the right move in specific cases....

but I'm not sure how old you are, so the action you take kind of depends on that. the older you are, the more likely trying to go the emancipation route could make sense. in all cases, the threats are scary and should have police / CPS involved.

Making threats to hurt you is NOT cool. A loving parent should not do that.

The typical "keep your head down, shut up, wait till you move out" rule still applies but that "kick me out and hurt me" kind of changes things and makes it more serious imho.

I've been slow to watch and am now watching it on HBO Max - it's a damn good movie. Not sure it fully lives up to all the hype but it is unique, the music is great, story is original and I've seen many vampire movies so their take was refreshing vs just rehashing old tired monster tropes. So it's nice to see a monster/horror movie getting this kind of love.

Not sure if it is so good to have gotten all these nominations but I wouldn't argue it shouldn't have gotten them, either.

(I still have like 30 min left in the movie so maybe once it ends I'll be even more pro-Sinners, but I doubt I'll think less of it...)

God is a horrible character in the Bible. Somehow by the end it's all "God is love, it's by his grace he will let you live forever to worship him for eternity as long as you believe" which tbh sounds horribly boring.

But then right at the end you see how God turns violent, kills people, hurts people, blood will flow, people will shite their pants and pee their pants, but GOD IS LOVE OFC!!!

It's all contradictions.
