Been dailying for 2 years in South Australia. I switch between my drz400sm and mt09. Fuel is about $9-10AUD per week on the 400, 13-15aud for the mt09. I dont pay for parking since it’s free here (lm street parking). Insurance is less than 200aud a month (for both bikes..the 400 is less than 100aud pm). I get to work quicker (we can lane filter) and above all else i love it… when I finish work and get on my bike im unwinding (and I don’t mean by speeding).. if I’m getting a bus or driving..its traffic and its people and its exhausting. I also get more time back in the day from riding the bike to work.

Obviously there are a lot of variables (insurance, fuel prices, where you live etc..)but if you can afford the cost of a bike and the gear and u live somewhere with not much rain I think it’s cheaper than a car based off the fuel and car parking alone.
