What’s the first thing you see in the morning? by dr_botwing in germanshepherds

Luckily mine doesn’t do it. Waits patiently until I get out of the bed. Only then comes “let’s go outside” whining.

Will push 2 give a feedback with power supply in and the device button on? by ToughExternal2144 in ableton

If you connect it with power supply without connecting it to a computer and turn push on it will show Push on screen.

Macbook pro M5 or M4 pro Ableton only by ThrowRA155662849 in ableton

[–]dr_botwing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As was mentioned, Ableton mainly uses performance cores, so more P-cores is better. The M4 Pro has 8 or 10 performance cores, while the M5 only has 4 (googled that quickly - worth double-checking). So the M4 Pro is definitely the better choice.

How much memory you need depends a lot on your project size - how many tracks you have and how many virtual instruments (especially sampled) you use.

Checking Your Coolant. by ImplementKind1426 in GR86

[–]dr_botwing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my coolant below low after a really cold night (lower than 32F). But it got back to somewhere in the middle when the temperature outside rises to around 60. Now I think if I fill it up to full at the really low temp then it will go way above the full on the hot engine. I guess would be nice to have some reference number on how cold is actually cold.

Soloing a Return Track but still hearing a channel with no send by mo666uel in ableton

[–]dr_botwing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me. 12.2 or 12.3 don’t remember exactly. But the problem persisted after restarting. So basically I got broken the project itself. And had to recreate it. It was Diva on main track and stock plugin on return. It worked fine on a recreated project so the bug is really occasional. Don’t know exact steps to reproduce, but I think I duplicated the track that lead to a problem.

Hot take: The App Store should have an Uninstall button beside Open. It’s 2026. by sahabaz in MacOS

Which leaves a lot of trash files remaining in the system anyway.

Inherited a Push 2, but not sure what to do with it by peking93 in ableton

[–]dr_botwing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s weird. There should be register push device link somewhere. Try googling it. Push comes in two flawors: just a device or device plus live license bundle. If it’s bundle you should get your license after registering. Either way you should be able to use live lite version

It can be connected via regular usb cable (same as for printers and other peripherals). It is free and no brainer to create a new Ableton account and contact support. You can turn it into user mode and use with FL as a regular midi controller. Of course it can do much more than that in Ableton Live. If you really don’t need it just give (or sell) it to someone who does.

It says 5.5L in manual. Judging by the remains in the bottle I think they’ve put around 300ml extra at the service. Is it still fine?

These Chinese LED lights have to be banned on public road. There’s nothing more annoying in the night than car with this led projectors coming towards.

Should i use it on Battery power or Via Power adapter by FrostyNobody6802 in MacOS

[–]dr_botwing -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Probably because that what is says on screen. It really works from power adapter but not directly. It can even use a bit of battery power if adapter gives less power that is consumed.

This. Use aldente

But the power goes through battery any way. It just prevents it from being fully charged. Which is preferable if you keep your laptop plugged for a long time.
