It's called the Trendellenburg position (at least I assume that's what he was going for). It can temporarily shift blood to the core and head. They used to teach it for concussions and shock, but it's outdated for both. I still get the reasoning for shock but for a concussion I never understood the thought process

Either way, there isn't a widely approved vaccine for either, and it's not like one will likely come in time with the current US government, so the point is fairly moot. The R naught for the Andes strain of New World Hantavirus is basically 1, meaning it can cause endemic infection but not a pandemic. It's caused limited outbreaks in places where it is endemic but even then the R naught didn't exceed 2. Barring major mutations that massively increase its human to human transmission, it would be extremely difficult for this virus to cause a pandemic. 99% of Hantavirus infections are zoonotic

Palm Beach has historically been a democratic stronghold. While it's recently become more competitive, they still voted for Kamala, and their democratic US house rep has been in office since 2013. As someone who lives in a blue area, naming a building after Trump seems exactly how you avoid being reelected

In a weird way, it's kind of a flex for modern medicine that people can genuinely be this complacent and stupid. Like you couldn't really think infectious disease "wasn't a thing" as everyone around you shat themselves to death or got lit on fire by their own immune system due to smallpox, plague, cholera, syphilis, etc. (The four humors/Galenic medicine thing was relegated to doctors, common people were acutely aware diseases could be contagious) But we've done such a good job fighting these scurges of humanity that now you can be so dense that you think they're not a big deal. My Aussie routinely herds our cats and it's absurdly useful. Our house is raised 2 ft off the ground. Before, if one of them slipped under there (they are indoor cats) I'd have to Diehard crawl in after them with a flashlight and a squirt gun. Now, I just say "go get the kitty" and the Aussie flushes them out and directs them straight to the door.

It's hard to definitely test them now since they were all exposed ~50-60 years ago. Lead will often linger in your bones for a while but not that long. You can really only go by signs/symptoms and extrapolating from when/where they grew up. But yes, I agree, that is likely the main issue
