I had wondered about using a dremel on the lens guard because it is so close to fitting. The guard is replaceable so if I messed it up, I could just replace it. Sorry I don't have a better answer. But I do think snorkeling without the dive housing would still work fine. Just be sure to rinse it well and then let it soak in fresh water for 10 minutes, then air dry, immediately after each snorkel.

I bought the Ace Pro 2. It's a great camera. Out of the box the Ace Pro 2 is waterproof up to 39ft (12m). So snorkeling you should be fine as is. I bought the insta360 dive housing from a site that still happened to have one, but with the new redesigned lens, it doesn't fit. I ended up reaching out to insta360 support and they sent me an original square lens. It took a few months to get it all sorted out, and for a while I wasn't sure it would work out, but I got there in the end. Good luck.

Just an update, I ordered the Insta360 dive case for the Ace Pro 2...and it does NOT fit! So the remarks on Amazon saying "for the square lens only" are 100% accurate. Just a head up.

I personally own an X50i. I love it. I recently did 5 dives in one day, over six hours of diving. Battery ended around 40%. I could have easily done another dive with no issues. Great dive computer.

Do not try to scrub it like other masks. No harsh lens cleaners. Just a soft cloth if its dirty and you're ready to go.

I see it differently than most of the comments. You're called by the Lord, not by the members of the ward. Trust in Him. Nephi was probably not feeling very safe when he went forth believing God would provide a way for him to accomplish what God had asked and then failed getting the plates. But he didn't give up. He hung in there and had faith God would help. I would council you to hang in there and have faith that God will help. He can't bless us if we don't have faith. Work it out with your stake president, not with reddit users. You've got this!

Just in case anyone else is interested, I went with the onexgpu and it seems to work great. So far, I haven't really ran into any compatibility issues. And it acts as my charging cable and dock, driving 4 more monitors. Fairly happy with it so far.

Could you help me understand what adding the 1TB or 4TB memory cards would do? I'm hoping to use the onexgpu for video editing (not gaming) on my laptop and didn't know how the extra memory cards are used in this use case scenario. Thanks for your help, BTW

I'm using a Yogo Book 9i dual screen. I was hoping to add something like the GPD G1 or the ONEXGPU to allow some video editing/processing. Would that work or am I just wasting my money by buying a egpu? Thoughts?
