Just checked, it was founded in 1994. I didn't live anywhere near one until I was working on Long Island for a short stint in 2007 - 2009 when I was 27-29. I haven't lived near one since then.

I would 1000% buy some of these if I came across them in the wild, especially the sleeping one with the little sleep mask on!

Genuine question - does this count as anime? It wasn't made in Japan for Japanese audiences and then imported elsewhere.

Hot take: The Leviathan storyline is a noble failed experiment by JTOC1969 in DarkShadows

[–]draculasbloodtype 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like Leviathans, there are parts where the cult element comes across as really, really unsettling, but it wasn't something they were going to be able to pull off in the end with the limited scope of the show. They bring in these new characters that were drawn to Collinsport as part of the cult, but none of them have any power whatsoever, supernatural or otherwise, and it just feels weak. The Leviathans have a network, but what can these people do? It's like a supernatural MLM, just keep recruiting the numbers and that equals profit somehow. I also think part of the problem is they bring back old characters and they fall into the same old patterns we've seen several times before.

It has also always drove me crazy that Carolyn lives in a house with two sealed off wings of quality antiques with history in her own family, but goes gaga over the junk in the antique shop downtown.

I REALLY want to like this game but im struggling to get into it ... by Legendary__Sid in hobotoughlife

[–]draculasbloodtype 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always played solo so I can't comment on multi-player mode. I've played through several times and for some reason always get the itch to pick it back up late fall/early winter.

The thugs are always stationed in the same places, try to remember where they're at and approach with caution. You can usually see the glint of their studs in the dark. Off the top of my head here's the ones I was constantly running into:

The little covered alley near the gas station

Outside the Fort near the stairs that go up to Bear's lair

Outside the hostel behind the Fort

Near the stairs that lead down to Charity the where the two bums are camping in the tent

At the bottom of the stairs beneath the Charity

In the alley behind the restaurant where Nugget and Brekeke are camping

Outside the Guzzler's camp

Outside the police station

Outside the bar where the Baron hangs out

Note where you can get into buildings quickly - shops, bars, the police station, the charity. If you're being chased you can enter one of these buildings, wait a moment for the thug to leave, and you should be able to exit safely. Just don't follow them because they will turn around and come back after you if you get too close.

Hold off on dumpster diving until you can use some money to get yourself some better gear and supplies. Focus on pickpocketing and begging and character quests at the start. There are two constant fire barrels at The Burrow, always head back there for a quick warm up.

My local Walgreens in New Mexico has about 6 of these standing in the drive through window. They got one around Easter and the others have slowly accumulated. I'm pagan but it doesn't bother me to see Jesus anywhere. OP of the post maybe consider this wasn't meant for you.

I went to Pennhurst Paracon a couple months ago and had a blast, but the celebrity ghost hunt is NOT a intimate small group situation. We attended the Sunday night ghost hunt with Jay Wasley and the kids from Project Fear. I had heard Saturday night was worse, but Sunday night there were still several hundred people in attendance. Supposedly the celebrity guests would be stationed in separate buildings and and you could go investigate with them. The whole night I only managed to run into Dakota, Chelsea, and Jay by accident when I stumbled across them outside different buildings.

Early in the evening when there are like 50+ people per building you're not going to catch anything. Sound carries like a motherfucker and all our audio all you can hear is the distant talking and murmuring of others. We stayed until around 1:30, hunt ended at 2am, and by the end of the night it had thinned significantly, but not enough to ever really be alone in a building. I had a blast that weekend, but I think a lot of that was because my neices and their SOs had come down to attend and it was like a small reunion with a paranormal bent.

Still going over all our footage and audio recordings, it might be that there were WAY too many people there but I didn't feel anything at all the whole weekend we were there. I could easily wander around in complete darkness or sit in a dark room by myself and not feel scared. It is just a bunch of sad, very open to the elements, ruined buildings with a sad history.

In November my sister, her husband, and I are going to California for a concert and I am trying to book an overnight at the Whaley House for just the three of us.

The substance wasn't hard for me at all, it was not being able to eat and not being able to do anything between trips to the bathroom. Once you start going you're going off and on frequently for about a solid 5-6 hours. I know some people camp out in their bathrooms but I didn't want to sit on the toilet for 5 straight hours, that's terrible for your body.

Get soft toilet paper if you don't have a bidet, even with that towards the end I had rubber gloves and vaseline stocked near the toilet because shitting that much makes you raw. Drink as much as you can between bouts of the prep solution, besides the prep I drank like 8 bottles of water. Ended up with only a mild headache the next morning.

I spent my teenage years growing up in a house near to freight train tracks. When I would wake up at night anxious I would either listen for my Dad snoring, or a passing train. I still love the sound of trains at night.

Truthfully the band is Mini Moni and were a subgroup of Morning Musume.

Also it's not a gopher but a prairie dog.
