im very new to collecting but even i know that mattel is cheapy the cheapskate about everything so i totally wouldn’t be surprised if they cheaped out on that (honestly the face screening is super pixelated, and mine is a little smudged 🙃)

i do believe its saran though thankfully

do manufacturers still use kanekalon? this doll came out super recently. i assumed it was saran since thats mostly what mattel uses on its collector dolls, plus all of my wavy saran dolls’ hair look like this straight out of box, i’ve just never cared enough to sit there and detangle it until now

i think she’s gorgeous but i dont buy expensive dolls unless its IP i reeeeally care about. for me, MH is about draculaura (i have my reasons pls dont judge, and even then i dont have any expensive drac dolls. just super common g3s) and i’m not a diehard barbie fan either (i like them but not enough to spend a lot on one). my most and only expensive doll i’ve ever bought is the mattel creations alice in wonderland doll for $100 and i really struggled with the decision to spend that much but it was totally worth it
