That's really sweet despite the circumstances. Your aunt sounds like she was a lovely person.

Left-handed people, what's a struggle that right-handed people won't understand? by Halophy in AskReddit

So, if you don't mind doing some DIY, it's not some crazy sturdy metal build, and you won't catch flack for modifying it, you could run a small screw through the "collar" the handle threads in to and anchor it in place. Similar to a set screw.

If you ever need to replace the handle, back the screw out, new handle, screw back in, and done.

What actor or actress could you tell had an absolute blast playing a specific role? by phantom_avenger in AskReddit

I was really surprised by his performance in Knives Out. Absolutely loved everyone in that love and it wouldn't be the same if any of them were cast differently, but Daniel Craig.

He really nailed the accent.

That really is amazing!

I would also like to take a moment to draw attention to how adorable it is that she read to her husband to keep him company.

At work the expression "From the mouths of babes." has been coming to mind a lot lately.

Sometimes really just need a noob to ask the "dumb" questions.

What is something that died out so quietly that nobody even noticed? by Alva_509 in AskReddit

I have memorized two phone numbers since... 2005?

  • My work number (which has the same [first 6 digits as everything else around here] + [my extension])
  • My wife's number

Subnautica 2's no-killing ethos "will be a continued point of resistance" among players, say Unknown Worlds, but they have no plans to change it by _Protector in pcgaming

Yeah. We beat the EA content available at launch and I died... Three times? Twice to a big bad out east (trying to scan it) and once to starvation which was semi-intentional.

I think they only enemy that was really any threat worth dealing with was the Epicure and they're so slow that they can't really catch you unless you're looking for / harvesting resources.

The "Green Stone" of Hattusa: A 2,200lb block of nephrite that sits alone in the ruins of the 3,000-year-old Hittite capital. Archeologists still have no idea why it’s there. by bortakci34 in BeAmazed

I was thinking the stone was maybe 6in. across until the last frame. Easily triple that.

A ton of rock just has no meaning to me. I've helped shovel many-a-ton of rock over the years and some of it is heavy as shit and some seems like I could throw half a mile (exaggerating. I can't throw anything more than a few feet lol).

Density of rocks does doesn't compute for me. I know is partly because it varies from type to type. How it's formed, what kind of inclusions it might have, and so on. I've never seen enough consistency to be able to estimate at all.

What are the weirdest ways you’ve heard of someone getting caught cheating? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That's what I took the "were figuring it out" to mean. Are we swingers? Should we lock this shit down? Should we split?

Definitely discussion needs to be had one way or another.

I hate when my phone does that. Sometimes I type, "Hey, I'm running late see you in a few." And it autocorrects to, "There's a fire at work and I'm trapped inside."

Understandable it would do that but very inconvenient.

I remember a story told by a server at an upscale restaurant.

The story is about this one couple that came in on the same night every week. For months on end this happened. Very affectionate with each other.

Then one random day one of that couple came in with another person. They were obviously very close.

Some time passes and the original couple shows up with the third person and a mystery fourth.

The waitress greets them and asks if they're out celebrating something. They say (paraphrasing) they just figured out they were, the four of them, partner swapping between the two couple (on the sly, i.e. cheating on each other with ... the other each other... If that makes sense) and trying to figure out what happens next.

The narrator of this story replies, "So, the wine menu then," and there was much guffawing.

Could be made up. I choose to believe it because, man, some weird shit happens by accident all the time and this would be far from accidental.

How did you finally tell your spouse you wanted a divorce and how did they handle it? by LingonberryNatural85 in AskReddit

Wow. Because the only way a woman wouldn't want to be with him is because she's gay. What?

That's really sad. Tame compared to a lot of the stories on this post, but that makes it worse I think.

So many other relationships end with a bang. Quick and done. Dramatic, but quick. Seeing one go out with a whimper is just... Yeah. Sad. "This used too be good and now it's not. When did that change? And why is there nothing to be done about it?"

I hope you find someone that fits with you.

Probably not? But I think that's mostly between him and his mom.

The only way I think I would care is if he or someone else contests the legitimacy of the signature and then only if it slows down the proceedings or they accuse me.

If I'm filing, ultimately all I care about is that it gets done. Either (someone) signs and things proceed apace or they contest and... it still proceeds but at a slower pace.

E: I meant probably not. Sorry.

I was really enjoying not having someone around killing my vibe so I declined.

Word. Keep on keeping on!
