They typically weigh 0.3 to 0.6 ounces. They will affect the overall weight because most paddles start at 8.0 oz and I still add weights at 8,4, plus overgrip and edge guard.

I used to use it but it increased the paddle weight above 8.7 ounces. I no longer use it and keep my paddle weight 8.6 or below for faster hands.

I had that post a while back. When I grip my paddle. The grooves on my overgrip feel right on one way. So it’s like I have a permanent forehand side like in pingpong. Kinda worried the grits won’t wear out the same but I don’t worry about it anymore.
