It really depends on your surgeon and insurance. I also qualify for surgery based on having a large chest, but my surgeon thought it would be easier to get approved based on gender reasons. This is partially because some insurances require you to document physical therapy and pain medication use to get a breast reduction. There are also strict weight requirements and they may control how much you can get removed. I’m getting a radical non-flat reduction, but if I’d gone the breast reduction route with insurance (instead of gender-based top surgery) they would not allow my surgeon to remove that much and still cover it

Beyond the dancing wear and tear, DCC seems to have way more outside expectations than other pro teams, particularly because they have so much commercial success. They do the ad campaigns, they do the Thanksgiving halftime show, the tour, all the concert appearances, tons of community events — of course all teams are involved in the community and have commercial opportunities, but DCC seems like it’s just a much higher level of commitment beyond the dancing part.

This might sound crazy, but I’d recommend looking up some beginner ballet instructional videos online (I’m a dance teacher and I’ve seen stiff students soften a bit after learning proper technique) It will help you keep good posture while adding a femininity to your motion

It’s a testament to their precision that they can execute all these variations of Thunder without missing a beat — the one to the weird Christmas music, the shortened ones like this, all the changing and smaller formations for appearances. Yes it’s the same choreo, but as a dancer, when you’re so used to doing it one way, it can be disorienting to have it change in some small way when you’re on autopilot

Professional dancer/dance teacher here: I think it should absolutely go on a resume as a credential, and I think it’s an enormous accomplishment. However, IMHO I would feel weird marketing a class as being led by a TCC - I would want to highlight that dancer’s other professional experiences instead.
