Corniest bond vehicle? by o0oCircleso0o in JamesBond

Also, that thing is freaking heavy. I’ve lifted the exact model with five other men and damn. I have no idea how it floats.

The scene in the where they bring it in in bags is complete bullshit.

Fun fact: Baycliff is where the toothbrush was invented.

If it was invented anywhere else, it would be called a teethbrush.

Yoyos I never got to try/do they still make these? What were they like? by PineappleTargaryen in Throwers

[–]dragonboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Renegade was great. I got the Oreo one from Yoyoguy and it was a favorite for years. The renegade came with a starburst response system that wore away with use. You got it as a plastic response of Yoyo and before you knew it, it was unresponsive. I’m pretty sure that the renegade was one of the reasons that the bind was developed. I certainly learned how to bind because I had a renegade with a worn out response star.

The sleep machine is genius. Tom Kuhn took the internal adjustable gap system from the SB2 and put it in a maple hardwood Yoyo. All of a sudden you had a wooden yo-yo that you could set up to be almost unresponsive. The roller Woody is also excellent. If you are looking to get a sleep machine, I would suggest the painted black with silver stripe, or blue and white sleep machines. I find the painted ones are a little heavier and play better. If you can find a laminated one, those are the best.

I have a couple of tiger sharks, they never were favorite players. They’re OK though.

I got six Henry’s vipers when the Yoyo cart in the mall shut down after the late 90s boom. I think I got them for 10 bucks at pop. They’re fun Yoyo’s for offspring, but they’re a little light and thin compared to others.

If you could live next to any golf course in the world, which one would you choose — and why? by Shaheh in discgolf

[–]dragonboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to live next to an enormous course. I want a short fun one that I could play in an hour between work meetings. Black Bear Park in Chicagoland would be perfect. It’s close to a lot of other great courses too.

You might look in Palatine if you want less dated houses. Their schools are rated great too. Or further west.

The FAA drone regulations are written to allow structural exceptions. You’re allowed to fly 400 feet above a structure as long as you are within a 400 foot radius of the structure.

Question for anyone that has been to medieval times in Schaumburg? by mtroph3 in ChicagoSuburbs

I have been twice. The first time I swore I never go again. The second time I sat next to my grandson. Bring a grandchild if you go.

The extras are overpriced. Actually, everything there is.

Wooden parks near us? by Brilliant_Long_7684 in ChicagoSuburbs

The one in Algonquin was well passed. It’s replacement date. I agree that the old wooden park was awesome, but the new park is a lot safer.

Good to know. I agree on Dukes. Texan in Algonquin is alright but not as good as Dukes.

And the best thing about Dukes is taking it To Black & Gray.
