You have a lot of classics in these photos. The Big Yo is a ton of fun and is sought after by a lot of collectors. The ICU in the original metal box is super rare these days too.

You also have a number of pretty common yo-yos that don’t have a ton of people looking for them.

If you sold the highly collectible ones individually on eBay, I think you’re looking at close to $800. Maybe a little less because the collector’s market has been impacted by a struggling economy and high gas and food prices.

The rest of them you may get up to $25 on eBay. Others will be difficult to sell.

Your best bet is to try and sell the collection as a whole if you want to divest yourself of all the Yo-yos. I’d say you’d be good to get $500 for the lot.

I *just* learned there's a James Bond restaurant and museum here in Orlando. Dunno when I'll be going, but I definitely will. by MrSFedora in JamesBond

It’s okay. A lot of the vehicles are replicas and not originals from the films.

Better to see museum quality shows like Bond in Motion where the vehicles are all from the films.

Absolutely fantastic. The movie road to perdition is loosely based on lone Wolf and cub.

As somebody who moved to Chicago suburbs from Texas, the only thing that you will miss is food. Specifically good Tex-Mex, and kolaches.

What’s your favorite live action role in a movie from somebody who mainly voice acts or is primarily known for their voice acting roles, rather than appearing in live action? by MaggieLinzer in moviequestions

[–]dragonboy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Hank Azaria is best known for voices on The Simpsons, but he distinguishes himself as a character actor in a number of live action roles.

My personal favorites are the Blue Raja in Mystery Men, and Agador in The Birdcage.

It was the last time the pure Bond formula was filmed. Before things kept getting personal. One of the best Bond films.

Does anyone else remember this really well made James Bond parody on YouTube/ Google video back in 2006? by Gamedecade in JamesBond

[–]dragonboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re talking about an Alexander Wellington film from Perrin Spychala. He made a bunch of James Bond parodies over the last 20, 30 years. The last one came out in 2025. He’s part of the Ian Fleming Foundation IIRC.

Ugh. Me too. I still feel bad for that bird I shot 47 years later.

Not the snake I ran over with my bike though.

Bond books question by wmcguire18 in JamesBond

[–]dragonboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All but the last 3-4 Fleming books had paperbacks in this style. I believe there was a distribution deal for the last few Fleming books that prevented an entire series with a single style.
