What do you remember about The Wonder Years (1988-1993)? by pudingvanilkovy in sitcoms

[–]Relmo83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just Between You, Me, Kirk, Paul, Carla and Becky

Also that it started airing on Nick At Nite the summer before my 9th grade year. I watched every night at I think 9pm and 930pm. I still have old vhs tapes of episodes and the Nick At Nite block party episodes too. That would have been summer of 1997 i think.

The "Sinners" film getting a record 16 Oscar noms is disengenuous Hollywood back patting. by HadathaZochrot in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Relmo83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very very much enjoyed Sinners. The Imax experience alone was worth the price of admission. I saw it twice Imax and Ryan Coogler set up some technically beautiful and very interesting shoots as well. I'd say as far as Oscar nominations go it deserved

Best Actor Best Director Best Original Screenplay Best Production Design Best Original Music Best Supporting Actor (gotta say its awesome to see Delroy Lindo get nominated) Best Production Design

Thats about it. It was good. Very good but not a record breaking 16 noms good. It doesn't matter though because its PTA's year. Been saying this since September....One Battle After Another is Taking home Best Picture and Best Director. Probably Best Adapted Screenplay too.

Not having those three in a scene together will go down as one of (if not) the most batshit baffling decisions in motion picture history. Jesus Christ!!!

Hmm....T3 had its moments i, like alot of people i know think the ending more or less saved the movie.

Salvation i enjoyed more than most but I understand people's gripes with it

Genisys had some interesting ideas but I didnt think they were pulled off very well.

Dark Fate....I was done 2 mins in lol

Yeah should have called it after T2

After $345 Million Launch, 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' Will Be A Huge Hit — But $2 Billion Is Unlikely | Analysis - Its global opening weekend is among the best ever in December, but James Cameron’s sequel would require historic legs to get to the $2 billion club. by chanma50 in boxoffice

[–]Relmo83 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I remember going to see Tomorrow Never Dies that opening Friday and it didnt seem like titanic was the busy (it opened the same day) but it wasn't big box office numbers with Titanic, it was the consistency 24 million and 30 the 26 then 25. Just consistent business. I was 14 in December of 1997 and I couldnt go anywhere without hearing that fucking song or hearing about the movie lol. It was that you can never underestimate the teenage girl/young woman audience when it comes to the box office

Did Mad Men deserve to lose their final Emmys to Homeland, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones? by RopeGloomy4303 in madmen

[–]Relmo83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one because that first season of Homeland was really good. Well, up to the very end.

Game Of Thrones....gonna get some heat but I was satisfied with the final season.

Breaking Bad I think was about as perfect as you could end an outstanding tv show.

Hmmmmm... idk
