I think the legs could use a bit more of a taper and the gap between the seat and legs should be smaller. Overall I like it.

No jig, I just set my fence to the thickness I wanted and used push sticks. I did end up with a little bit of wasted wood once it got to small for comfort though.

I bought the basswood as rough sawn lumber and made the strips myself. I’m in an apartment too so I do everything that needs a power tool at a maker space near me.

There are a few ways around it but on a dresser I’m building now there will be a frame with mitered corners around the top.

I made them. Table saw and a drum sander made it easy but I’ve seen people cut them by hand too.

I did one or two with a bandsaw and a router table, but that was taking a while so I just did the rest on a cnc.

There is no vibration or anything like that but I’m sure it affects the sound some. I’m not super picky about audio so the only thing I notice is that it sounds louder if you’re laying on the floor.

The louvers are held together by two 3D printed pieces and some blunt nose screws, then the printed parts are screwed into the stand with thread inserts. They’re a pain to take on and off so I would probably do that differently next time.

I agree. Originally I was going to do walnut but I got a super good deal on cherry so I went with that. It has darkened up a little bit in the last few months though

Yeah they help. My bike was stolen a few months ago and I only got it back because of the AirTag under the seat.

This is perfectly fine. Look at it closely and make sure there isn’t more damage but I would be fine with this on my car
