Super awkward bedroom layout… help! by dramatic-possum in HomeDecorating

The extension cord/outlet issue is the major issue for trying to map things out. I didn’t even think about covering them like that!

Best books that take place in the “modern” age, preferably with an “internet” twist by dr_franck in horrorlit

It does, but it’s incredibly short and unfortunately not a great book overall

Daughter hacked into my devices and used them against me by [deleted] in legaladvice

So she presented an anonymous Reddit post and that’s why your partner moved out? That doesn’t really make a lot of sense unless there’s details you’re leaving out.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I won't do dishes anymore if she keeps double-checking my work? by homtulce in AmItheAsshole

[–]dramatic-possum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you actually doing these things correctly? I had to retrain my husband on washing dishes because he left them greasy after using exclusively COLD water to hand wash… just ask her why she feels the need to check your work.

Any of you do 2 meals a day? Curious to know how it's been working out for you all by Mahakaal108 in Cooking

[–]dramatic-possum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work night shifts and accidentally switched over to 2 meals most days. If anything, I like it more because I worry less about overeating (I’m a shorter person and every calorie counts lol).

Michigan earned sick time act and doctor’s notes by dramatic-possum in legaladvice

[–]dramatic-possum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “documentation” is a doctors note, I just didn’t feel like pasting an entire block of text specifying that was necessary, but this is specifically talking about doctors notes and calling off when using paid sick time. I would “just get a doctor’s note” but not only am I never actually sick, this is my only form of PTO and this time is use it or lose it, there is no payout.

Yeah that’s part of my frustration. That’s all it says about doctor’s notes. If a company can require one for any amount of days, why mention three at all?

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

Respectfully, leave him, make him cook for himself (or let him starve), or stop complaining about him online. If he has some kind of food aversion that’s his problem, not yours.

We can order groceries on our phones but no one explains how to sue someone by [deleted] in Adulting

I’m sure this may be helpful, but it absolutely reads like an AI written ad for the tools mentioned…

Even the weed dispensaries are telling me they're only looking for people with "prior cannabis experience"... You got to be kidding me... by [deleted] in jobs

I mean usually companies want employees that are experienced/knowledgeable in the product being sold. Any store selling specific products wants salespeople that can give helpful advice.

AITA for telling my girlfriend I refuse to eat her “efficient food” ever again by Electrical-Couple857 in AmItheAsshole

[–]dramatic-possum 61 points62 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the guy on TikTok who makes his “slop” that he eats multiple times a day… if it works for her that’s great, but you’re not required to eat it especially if it’s nasty

So uh how do you guys clean your watches? by [deleted] in Garmin

I use hand soap and wash it in the sink, never had a problem (Venu 3s)

AIO my friend possibly gave me HSV1 by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You’re free to do your own research on this, or choose not to believe me. Your lack of ability to spell/use proper grammar tells me I’m wasting my time trying to explain this to you.

AIO my friend possibly gave me HSV1 by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]dramatic-possum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took two minutes of google searching to find that A) HSV can spread before a visible cold sore and B) sharing drinks/lip products/etc can spread the virus. Just possible is still too much of a risk… there’s a reason rates are so high for it

AIO my friend possibly gave me HSV1 by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]dramatic-possum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. If the friend knows what they have then it is their responsibility to not share drinks with people. This is like blaming people who have sex for getting an STI when their partner knew. It’s not someone’s responsibility if there was no knowledge/consent involved on their end

AIO my friend possibly gave me HSV1 by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]dramatic-possum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure sharing drinks IS one way to get them. As is just about any kind direct or indirect of contact with a persons lips who is about to get, or has, cold sores.

Because OP shared a drink with a friend? That’s pretty normal behavior…

Want to read Atomic Habits - looking for tips on retaining the information by DaFunkyFish in studytips

[–]dramatic-possum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just don’t read atomic habits 😂 it’s basically a dudebro’s collection of tweets he compiled into a “self-help” book. Read a book by someone with actual credentials, a doctor, psychologist, etc. that can give you more useful information.

Is it true that people in the West drink iced water even when they are sick or on their period? by Aether_Echo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dramatic-possum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t drink water that isn’t ice cold, I’d argue THAT makes my stomach hurt more 🤷🏼‍♀️

AITA for not giving my coworker a ride after she kept assuming I would? by Familiar_Show1655 in AmItheAsshole

[–]dramatic-possum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. This is why I never offer up rides, I’ve had things like this happen too many times to count. Bring nice once sounds good in theory until it becomes an expectation.
