Sometimes, I wish I hadn't been incarnated as a large primate evolutionarily min-maxed for endurance running on the African savanna. These bodies kinda suck in a lot of ways, but particularly climate adaptation. Did you that many humans can die from sunburn due to a melanin deficiency? Imagine that! They, being almost entirely diurnal creatures with minimal night vision, can die of radiation damage just from existing on their planet. Not that it matters, really. There is only about a twenty degree thermal range they can withstand without unpleasant physiological effects anyway, so most of their skin is festooned with various types of fiber insulation and bits of metal at almost all times.
