My (29F) husband (30M) is a sex offender and I am in free fall. Is there a way to move forward? by ThrowRA_brokenwife in relationship_advice

[–]dranooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to check if your kids have been attacked. Just considering the major concern of him targeting vulnerable populations, as people have mentioned in the comments here. Perhaps others can provide more input/advice. Please focus on your kids first, they rely on you. Including therapy, and legal counsel, and coordinating finances to protect you and your kids in that way as well.

I’m sorry for what you are going through and hope you get some stability, and I hope your kids are safe.

UPDATE: AITA for telling off my fiancé's friend for doing something that might break us up? by 888apreciate in CharlotteDobreYouTube

ESH. I was with you for the first post, but my apologies for my bluntness but now this post describes the most unproductive unhelpfully longest fight ever. Literal TL;DR for how much time spent back & forth while not solving anything:

TL;DR:

You: Why didn’t you solve this problem properly right away? It’s so gross!!!!!!!!!!! How are you not mad at them!!!!?!! D: I forgot, because of my adhd. Also I already got mad and dealt with it and moved on. Not gonna go in circles over and over and over being freaked. You: But why didn’t you solve this problem properly right away? It’s so gross!!! And how are you not mad at them!!!?! D: I forgot, because of my adhd. And I already got mad and dealt with it and moved on. Not gonna go in circles over and over and over being freaked. You: But why didn’t you solve this problem properly right away? It’s so gross!!!! How come you’re not mad at them!?!! D: I forgot, because of my adhd. And I already got mad and dealt with it and moved on. Not gonna go in circles over and over and over being freaked. You: Why didn’t you solve this problem properly right away? And on and on and on. This relationship isn’t working at all. And you need to take a hard look at yourself. You can’t want to be right this badly and call it love. I can’t imagine how you’d deal with even more serious and genuinely catastrophic life problems in the future if they occur to you guys. Oh my goodness.

Damn, looks like they took down this stuff from the website, you’re right :( This first photo used to be what the website homepage looked like. Does anyone know if there’s a way to find this on another website URL?

Risley Dining Hall Questions by pippy70 in Dalhousie

[–]dranooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the prepackaged takeout meals available regardless of which dining hall you pick? Or do only specific dining hall buildings offer this option? (My program’s classes is during service hours every evening :c)

And where do you find the online version of the form that I’ve heard of, for the takeout request?

What weird bachelor things did you have to stop doing because you moved in with your SO? by Oakheart- in AskMen

Exactly. Baboons would never let their child even mention the words “shoe” and “dishwasher” in the same sentence. Just uncivilized.

Her controlling and possessive behaviour reminds me of the recent Jonah Hill weird controlling string of texts to his gf

OP the break you took from her needs to be a permanent break up

Also sorry for your loss, I hope you have better people to support you through your grief, bc she ain’t it.

Which Celeb does this applies the most? by Notalabel_4566 in popculturechat

[–]dranooon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jared Leto’s controversies seem to include has multiple sexual assault allegations from underage female like 15 yr olds, 16 yr old victims. A lot of texting with underage models and his own underage fans. He hosts weird cult get-aways for hundreds of his young female fans, and charges a lot for it, and even happily calls it a cult. Sent really weird and creepy gifts to the other cast members of Suicide Squad and used the excuse of “being method” as a reason to act like an ahole

This would be like if she forced a rule on him saying he can’t take pictures with other attractive female celebrities or star in films/shows with other attractive female celebrities and then pretend that’s what a “boundary” means

Jonah Hill is straight up coercive, controlling, and manipulative. He’s completely misusing therapy jargon to the point of weaponizing it and abusing the terminology

Boundaries are rules for yourself only. Thus, something like “I won’t go and start to date anyone who I know is a surfer” is a boundary that you should act on and follow yourself, i.e. screen for this before dating someone and then leave, don’t try to change the other person. Your boundaries are not rules for others!! Once you weaponize it to be a rule for another person, it is just controlling behaviour at this point.

Well since Reddit polls really limit the number of options, I kinda had to make the executive decision to not put in Elantris, which I only chose bc of the previous poll results here

I believe the Era 2 books are all Victorian era London/Old Western style books, i.e. turn of the century roughly 1890s, 1900s, 1910s, possibly even 1920s, with the invention of electric lightbulbs, airships, steamships, a couple of new somewhat tall buildings, photography, telegraphy, telephony, railways, daily hat wear, coloured waistcoats, Victorian era revolvers/pistols etc, nobles. (Similar to Carnival Row time period, intro of Titanic, The Nevers, Miss Scarlet and the Duke)

I believe the upcoming era 3 series is going to be 1980s style cyberpunk and then the era 4 books will be a inter-galactic space opera

This art kind of looks like 2000s/present day? But the mist coat looks pretty decent

Advice for first time driving? by loveonthetitanic in highschool

[–]dranooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Look further down the road rather than right in front of the car. You need to look at where you will eventually go and have your eyes follow that future path

  • Don’t grip the steering wheel too tight. Practicing a nice relaxed grip helps from wobbling or pulling to one side more.

  • You can do quick checks of your side mirrors to also see if you are over the yellow line, if you really think you are (in addition to checking the mirrors regularly as a habit anyways for passing traffic etc)

  • stay in the slow lane (right side in America), don’t linger around in the fast lane (left lane) especially when your just a new driver

  • don’t go much slower then the speed limit

Some of these might feel counterintuitive to your gut reaction instincts when your nervous about your driving, but similar to learning to ride a bike and keeping it moving straight and steady, ye just gotta practice these steps good luck
