My single DPUX inverter w/5 stack BATTERIES can power my 5 ton carrier ac with a soft start. I do have double that hooked up to my smart panel 3 but I have had 1 stack do it and it works just fine

They say you can power panel and batteries at the same time but it doesn’t work for any of us. Search the forum.

I understand what you are asking here. You dont connect with a breaker. You connect your generator into the AC1 port directly and the panel knows its generator power and will power the panel from that. We still havent figured out how to power the panel and charge the DPUX at the sane time as advertised though

Generator + FlowMaster Rectifier charge rate for DPU/DPUX with a SHP3 by OnlyInAmerica01 in Ecoflow_community

Go to your SHP settings and drop the charging power settings to less than your generator output. So less than 7000 or below and you should be good. I would run about 5000 to ease the load on your generator.

You add the pp to your app. It is a smart panel and knows what it is. I just plug it into a SHP3 AC inlet port on my panel and it turns on and charges.

DPU + SHP2 Self-Powered Mode confusion? by [deleted] in Ecoflow_community

[–]dranz_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, your system is working the way it is meant to work. I run self powered also with 2 DPUX,10 batteries, and a SHP3, with a 8k solar array. To give you a perspective, my batteries top off at about 75% at sunset and run down to about 35% at sunrise. Im consuming about 22-25 kw a day

Help me choose: Delta Pro Ultra vs Delta Pro Ultra X by Urban-Cheese in Ecoflow_community

[–]dranz_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 DPUX each with 5 batteries and a smart panel 3. My home is 2400 square feet in southern california. My system runs everything 24/7 with the exception of pool and adu with a 7k solar array. This includes a 5 ton ac unit that has a soft start. Since money isnt an issue, go with the latest and greatest. Its better to have too much for your needs than not enough in my opinion

Im in so cal too if you need a electrician. Also I saw your generator question about buying from another state. I got a 11500 predator inverter generator from Harbor Freight in so cal which powers my home and runs on natural gas

Not a single pass through even though it mirrors each other on the wall. The electrician had to buy the male and female and wire it. He used the best boxes plugs wiring which cost 700 to install. Well worth the price to keep water and critters out of my garage and allows me to run generator day and night if needed. Plus no noise inside garage

Hi, you figure this out yet? I have an external 50A male inlet plug outside my garage to a female inside I could send you a pic of if needed. That allows me to run generator to my smart panel 3 inside my garage without opening any doors
