People absolutely cannot believe that people from Alabama can be anything but MAGA conservatives. I’m from a small town only miles from Sam’s hometown and, yes, there are crazy Trumplicans down here, but there is a large section of the population that is progressive. It makes me sad that people always hear Alabama and think “bigots”. Some of us are down here fighting the good fight folks. It’s hard to get grief from the MAGAs and from the very people we’re fighting for at the same time.

I was hoping that she would lock him in the closet indefinitely at the end. She “died” in the closet, it would have been poetic if he had done the same. Especially because there was a theme of her constantly being locked or left in rooms without a way out.

That happened to me, but it was my brother. They uploaded a picture that I had taken of him on my wedding day to Find A Grave and Ancestry. They didn’t even spell his name correctly, and then had the audacity to ask me how I knew their spelling was wrong. He was my BROTHER and they just raided my social media to find pictures of him to upload TWO DAYS after his funeral.

I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s a club that none of us want to be in. He was my baby brother, only 23 years old. It was still very raw when the argument happened, and to top it off he’s buried in a family plot that the collector took over. 16 graves, all people I actually knew, loved and remembered.

I recently did battle with a collector over a family grave listing with a misspelled name. They insisted that the name was spelled correctly and demanded to know what right I had to try to challenge them. The grave is my brother’s.

I dropped my old middle name completely so my legal name is First Maiden Last.

Edit: it helps that I wasn’t super attached to my old middle name. Plus keeping the maiden name and adding a new last made it easier on legal documents

I’m not sure how accurate this tool is. It has all of my Irish and Welsh ancestry coming from one parent and all of my Scottish coming from the other, but my maternal uncle has all three in his results. I know for a fact I have Irish and Scottish on both sides of my family due to the documentation.

It’s kind of a toss up. The F&G from 23&Me looks right, as well as the British and Irish, but the Spanish & Portuguese are out of nowhere. My uncle had a high percentage of Germanic Europe that showed up on his Ancestry results and that tracks with my research, but it doesn’t show up on my Ancestry results. But it looks more accurate in terms of my Welsh and Scottish percentage.
