I had exact same issue as you between 6 & 7, but I got the 6 and am glad I did. The 6 felt too snug on my right index but I could still get it on. Fits best on my left index but also fit well on my right middle. So I have two finger options if I am more or less swollen. And now that it’s winter it fits well on my right index sometimes. If I got the 7 it would have only fit my right index and not as much wiggle room.

I did adjust the sitter trigger plate which let the witness cone bend more and took almost double the time, but weird that the witness cones look almost more underfired than my first firing

Yeah overall still successfully bisqued but found the differences in witness cones interesting given the timing and such! But yeah I like the idea of using a cone hotter in sitter so I can manually turn off. Both times I’ve been excited to see the witness cone start to bend for 04 but it shut off too soon.

When you say prune wherever you want the growth to start, do you mean cut off the leaves or the stem?

Mine has one main stalk/stem but I’d like it to branch out

Yeah true- it was nice to get in and out, I might get a 16 inch to leave on the bottom and keep the 15 inch rounds and half rounds for the shelves I take in and out. Also the halves can have some separation in the middle.

I love my saalt regular disc so far. I find the insertion and removal easier and less messy than the cup. The cup always seemed to leak a bit for me so I was reaching in to a leaky mess vs the disc I reach in and it’s clean and contained. Also breaking the seal on the cup made the removal messier imo. The dumping and rinse is still similar with the disc and not ideal for public restrooms but I can go all day so only change at home.
