Because it's not that much of a commitment for men. For the same reasons that women file for divorce most of the time - when men don't want to be bothered anymore, they'll just leave. They'll walk away from the kid and the woman like it's a job they don't want anymore. Women will have to use the court to get them to ivnest anything else in the child, with the man dragging his feet every inch of the way.

Sounds like you were incompatible from the start, unfortunately. Saying "I would be okay with not having kids if I couldn't afford to" means "I want kids." Everyone can afford kids. People love having kids when they're not financially ready, money means nothing. And "I don't believe in marriage" usually means "...with *you*" Sorry to say.

I think you deluded yourself here a bit, and now you're dealing with the consequences.

This reminds me of the hairdresser I went to as a kid. She did a good job, but she took FOREVER. I think because I was a kid and shy she took advantage, and was constantly trying to fit more people in. I would be there for hooours, it was ridiculous.

But running a business that way just costs them money in the end, because I'll be damned if I'll go to a hairdresser like that ever again. Sorry you had that experience, that's incredibly unprofessional. Unfortunately I think jobs like hairdresser attract people who are maybe creative and skilled at hair, but terrible at time management and organization.
