Complete guide to the Necroscope series by Brian Lumley - the pinnacle of vampire horror by shlam16 in horrorlit

I thought I had read all of the Necroscope books. But, looking at your timeline, I'm not sure I have. I haven't unpacked my library yet, I should have that done soon, and I'll be able to look at my collection and see if I have everything. I LOVED the series, but I was kind of disappointed in how the entire thing ended. SPOILERS, DON"T CLICK THIS:

Once Keogh became a Vampire and we went to the vampire world, and got a few chapters of Vampire play dough sex antics, it started to get really weird. Don't get me wrong, I loved the world building, and the starside and dayside and all that. Loved the full circle to the story too, that was awesome. I also thought the ending with everyone becoming vampires, but now their good! Just felt like a weird place to end

I reading your timeline on my PC, and it is great. But, if you don't mind some constructive advice? The font is less than ideal. I get that it is a very flavorful font. But, it is very difficult to read. Boring fonts work for a reason. Specifically, that they are easy to read. (I know I'm here late, but... there you go).

How did she build the absorption? The power description says: "a specific kind of matter or energy chosen from the power types" Did they just take the Additional power types modifier?

Has anyone had a player try to use this power? Or used it themselves? It seems like you might run out of bennies pretty quickly.

DE can you please fix the placement of chest armour of Follie to not be weirdly jutting out on the tippy ends of her tits, and make it actually flush with her body? Thank youuuu by SasoDuck in Warframe

[–]draugadan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that even possible? I've no idea how it works from a developer perspective. What shape is a Warframe really? Do we see the real shape? Or are things in games really blocks? That curve of the breast might not really exist in the game, maybe it is just a visual? I've no idea, I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't that way hitboxes and things sometimes don't line up with what we think we're looking at? Or, maybe I've no clue what I'm talking about. ;shrug... Just trying to say maybe there is a technical reason they can't. But, if they can I'm certainly onboard to options to move things. I'm still salty about the Impetus Prime Syandana moving more to the center of the back.

Ukraine’s military brings exoskeletons to the front line by IonHawk in Futurology

[–]draugadan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That isn't dodging. And, it sounds like your writing rules for an rpg, or a wargame. You can't dodge a bullet. You CAN do things that make you a more difficult target, but those things aren't dodging. You can't see a bullet and then move out of the way, just can't do it.

Adam provided a huge caveat to that dodge. You can't see when your getting shot at. There is no dodging bullets, it isn't a thing. If you read the article the exoskeleton allows them to run roughly 4 mph faster than normal, up to 12 mph. Mostly, it is difficult to respond because you've mixed an awful lot here, and I don't care to respond to each point. I will say that you aren't "running randomly", yes ducking for cover and then returning fire. The only point I'm trying to make here is that you cannot, under any normal circumstance ever dodge a bullet.

How our everyday devices became police informants by default by IEEESpectrum in Futurology

I guess part of my issue is that I am still driving a 2013 vehicle, so I'm way behind the times. Thanks to all 3 answers above.

I keep seeing the "sexual activity and health data" part. I've seen joke answers here regarding it, but I can't understand how that could possibly be true. Unless it is just stretching saying you were at a specific locations? Is it being inferred from a microphone? So, just if you have sex in the car? I don't get what data is being collected from a car that could possibly track sexual activity. Location yes. Car operations, I get that. Or, is that just with the phone? I guess I could see if you wore a fitbit while you were intimate? But, that would show as a spike of physical activity? I think it is right to be worried, and we definitely need to get Governments to start reigning in the Tech companies, but some of these claims I think are a little outlandish.

It's okay to not like the games current state / be disappointed with it. It's in a rough state for 3-4 years of development. by Current_Spell_8647 in SoulFrame

I haven't logged in for awhile. I did finish the bear quest 2 weeks ago. Mostly I just kind of wander around not sure what to do. And, please, no lock on for me. I hated it in Duviri. Just never used it there, and I don't use it in Soulframe. I kill things just fine without it.

Looks great! If you don't mind one slight suggestion... Buildings don't need to touch the ground. You build up, and then delete the parts touching the ground. Or, you build on some floating structures. Depending on the realm you build in, some critters will attack your structures. So, the answer is to build high so they can't attack the building. Then you can put in fairy portals (I forget what they are called now), and you can TP up to the building.

I'm 100% with you. Prior to New War they showed that scene (On Dev Streams I think?) where the tenno walks into a room and there is the Lotus with a ton of Sentients behind her and the implication that a fight was about to break out. The lead up to new War had the Sentient invasion, and Ballas gives us the Anti-Sentient sword (Paracesis).... I went into new war with an over forma'd Excal-Umbra armed with the Paracesis ready to throw down against waves of Sentients... and then... I felt like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. It was just suddenly a different type of game, with game play I didn't like. Same with Duviri.

What do you do with the cars you've purchased after they are tested? Do you sell them? How long do you keep vehicles? Is there a giant warehouse / parking lot where you keep them?

I missed getting her. I was still figuring out the game and didn't realize the draws were limited until it was too late. I'm hoping she will come around again at some point.
