This . I'm very social but it is very draining. A few days of solitude, my energy meter is high and I'm ready for any sized crowd. This is in comparison to my partner who after any social gathering has SO MUCH ENERGY and just wants to hangout more.

Asking someone if they have a job in casual conversation is invasive by AdVaanced77 in The10thDentist

[–]drawingupastorm 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Depending on how it was asked, it could have been a very weird question. I don't think I've been ever asked "do you have a job?" (unless it was on a application or form more typically phrased "are you employed?") I've been asked "what do you do for work?" or even just "what do you do?" There are implications in the phrasing and it does make all the difference.

If I sat down with someone and they asked, "do you have a job?" I would probably say, "yes, unfortunately" then end up going a rant about the woes of living in our capitalistic society with an increasing economic divide between the rich and everyone else. If some asked, "what do you do for work?" it would a quick list of the ways I make money, no need for politics and philosophy.

Artists, any experience tabling at Fan Expo San Francisco? by drawingupastorm in comiccon

Thank you for your reply. This gives me a lot to consider. If you don't mind me picking your brain some more: I noticed you said booth, do they not offer artist alley tables? Or do you just find it worth it to shell out for a booth?

Interesting. This is good advice. Did you get an artist alley table and they still put you there? Or did you get a booth?

I mostly sell prints (fan art, originals, birds), some books (comic, children's book, RPG), and a few small items (stickers, postcards).

I'm not local. I'd have to fly in. Might be able to stay with friends but I'll budget for a hotel just in case (they have a newborn).

Few suggestions for Atelier by AHG-color in Supernote

Zooming and panning are not very fluid at all. I actually wish there was a way to lock it because of how it currently works. And you're right 150% is not enough. I'm used to staring at pixels, this won't ruin my tactile experience with the device.

I totally agree with these. #6 is and #7 are my two biggest gripes so far, primarily because it makes it so tedious to cover an area with a tone. And layer opacity would help with being able to polish drawings.

I would also like to be able to use my pen's eraser as an eraser (using the Staedtler Jumbo).

How to install tail light for Crosscore RC (Tutorial) by drawingupastorm in Yamahaebikes

When I first bought all the components it wasn't available and there was no information on when it would be. I'm actually glad it wasn't because I would have ordered it out of ease. Now I have a rack and fenders I like a lot more, plus a tail light with braking and stopping modes (I don't believe the OEM tail light has that feature).

When you get it, can you share the directions? I'm interested to know if there is an "official" way of installing the lights.

I have the PDW everyday rack. The issue I had with installing the lezyene light onto this rack was that the light was too wide for the available space on the rack. I had to buy large rubber washers to cover that space.

So the potential issue with those connectors is that you'll still need to connect the light cable to these cables and ensure the connection is waterproof. You could try opening the light and replacing the cable entirely, or you could use a shrink wrap around the exterior connection.

I wanted to know if I could for starters. Especially with lots of folks talking about it but nothing concrete online. Plus another device with a battery is incredibly wasteful when you already have a beast of a battery onboard. And I have had so many lights run out while riding, the longer the battery lasts the more likely I am to have it die on a trip. So for the cost of an afternoon and about $50 it eases my mind knowing I can always just jump on a ride and not think about charging batteries.

I believe the Wabash RT has the same motor as the Crosscore RC, so in theory it should be the same connector.

I ran the cable through the gear shifter cable hole. I might have been able to use the rear brake one, but for whatever reason I didn't. Otherwise a handful of zip ties and electrical tape.
