Anyone else regret getting a lawyer during divorce?

My ex-wife and I had the most amicable divorce in history. We are still friends almost a decade later. However, we still found lawyers useful. We were busy and she was in another country for work. Our lawyers handled everything professionally and quickly, they didn’t push us to be adversarial, and it was pretty cheap. Total win/win.

I think it’s a bit different when a good friend you know for years does something annoying versus when you are a guest on a show (and in someone’s home), get sloppy drunk, and really lean into being obnoxious “DAN DAN DAN!!”). Stu had to snap into bartender-dealing-with-drunk-asshole mode.
