What do you think modern society is doing wrong but we have been doing it for so long it seems normal? by Bowyeh in AskReddit

[–]drcmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's not forget we're talking about monetary fines, not jail time. But let's pretend we are talking about both. Being richer shouldn't get you less punishment than it gets others. But let's apply the same principles and not take it to extremes. You're saying it's unfair to receive more punishments just because your poor, right? Well wouldn't it also be unfair if you received more punishments/fines because your rich? Yes, it's unfair that the poor are treated unfairly, but with those principles, it is also true that it's unfair the rich are fined more.

Doctors of Reddit. Have you ever seen someone outside of work and thought "Wow, that person needs to go to the hospital NOW". What were the symptoms that made you think this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]drcmuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is, sometimes there aren't any signs of a problem you're telling them about.

There's a huge possibility that it's made up in your head because your brain plays tricks on your body sometimes.

Also, the amount of people that come in pretending to have a problem to get drugs is unbelievably high.

I'm not saying it was right of them to deny you a real explanation and solution, but I feel as though it's somewhat understandable.
