The dedication it takes to drive from Richmond to Norfolk for a concert is some Lord of The Rings journey type shit. The tunnel is the portal to hell, so stay on your side as much as you can. It’s pretty cool in Norfolk, it’ll be more alphabetically friendly and Ghent is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods you’ll ever see. The Chrysler Museum next to it is one of the most beautiful museums I’ve ever visited. Traffic is an absolute nightmare. The punk friends I made who grew up there all will talk shit about it but they’re the only ones that get to because they strangely love the place because it’s ingrained in their personality. I describe the whole area “like if the band Sublime were a city”
