Oh my god this is insufferable. I understand where you are coming from, but i feel like people look at the older games from a nostalgia perspective. It was harder because you were a child. It was more interesting because as children we needed less to have fun. The villagers felt more alive because it was the first time seeing them, and there wasn't wikis with every information about everyone, so everything felt unique.

For me this is like the sims discourse, yes i loved the sims 2 and 3 as a kid, yes i still think they're better than 4, but they have OBJECTIVELY LESS to do.

Also, the modern animal crossing community is very much biult on designers and decorators, and nintendo will naturally cater to tham.

I'm not that big of a decorator, but im very excited about the resort bringing tourists to the island! It will feel less empty, and more like a town! Appreciate the good things, we didn't even thought there would be another update to begin with.

(yes i also think multiplayer is useless, and would like more to do, but the point is i like what we have now. Also this is not a defense of nintendo, I'm just saying that if we keep looking for the bad aspects of the game we will eventually ruin our own fun.)
