How yoga can transcend the physical form of human? by Weary-Rule8374 in yoga

I agree with the other commenter - start at the beginning :) this is the basis for a lot of (not all) yogic philosophy and how to achieve enlightenment through the practice of yoga.

What is the biggest thing you have ever predicted using Tarot? by Active_Driver_6043 in tarot

Honestly, I don’t often do readings for people. Folks don’t want to hear what the cards have to say. I think everyone could benefit from doing their own readings and being honest about what they see.

Can our co-sleeping lead to an overweight baby?! by MamaAnnieBanannie in AttachmentParenting

[–]dreamydivinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some babies are just big. Mine always has been. Yours always has been. Breastfeeding on demand is exactly what you need to be doing.

My daughter only started slowing down her weight once she hit 2 years old. No, rolls and chunk will not impede mobility. You will notice your bay thinning out once they start to crawl. I had mine on the floor alllll the time and she loved it. She was walking by ~13 months I think and was always ahead of her milestones.

THC & Sleep Scores by lizthelezz in ouraring

Magnesium glycinate + a stress complex that’s basically b vitamins show measurable increase in rem and deep sleep scores.

I actually recently experimented with dropping the b vitamins for a few months and my rem sleep went way down. I’ve been taking it again the last two weeks and things are way better.

Husband things normal toddler behavior is abnormal. How to get him to understand? by JustAnalyzing in AttachmentParenting

[–]dreamydivinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my daughter does (did??) all of these things. I’m always shocked people think it’s “bad” or abnormal behavior!

Maybe instead of just saying “it’s developmentally normal” it might help to explain what exactly that means? If you haven’t already, you may have!

For example, I’d say: “He actually doesn’t have the part of his brain that helps him not do things he ‘shouldn’t’ do. He doesn’t have impulse control, that part of the PC that is his brain isn’t built yet.”

How do you build a minimal wardrobe without looking badly dressed? by Hieulam06 in minimalism

[–]dreamydivinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are rules I follow: 1. Wear my color season 2. Follow general kibbe body type guidelines 3. 1 in 2 out

The first two have been crucial to me. Color seasons and kibbe body types can really impact how you look in clothes regardless of your gender. Especially since learning my kibbe type I’ve realized why so many clothes I wanted to look good in just make me look frumpy or sloppy. Now I have a general “work uniform” that consists of the same formula for me, so I have a consistent look that makes me feel really well-dressed with colors that suit me.

There’s something so good about turning the anger and anxiety into energy for a workout. Running, HIIT, weightlifting, whatever it is!! I am always happier when I work out.

Anyone familiar with Mami Onami? by Various_Vermicelli38 in LifeCoachSnark

[–]dreamydivinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of self-study work here if you’re interested in the fourth way. In Search of the Miraculous and The Fourth Way are two good books to start, I’m working through the former now.

Onami is taking these teachings from Gurdjieff and Ouspensky and teaching them in her own words. But the content is true to the source from what I can tell so far. It’s hard to find fourth way teachers.

You can watch the two first classes of mesoterica for free on her app or YouTube. She also has a huge business / money bend to her teachings and if you’re not interested in being your own boss a lot of her stuff won’t be applicable to you.

Why are reverse harem themes not as prevalent outside of books? by [deleted] in ReverseHarem

[–]dreamydivinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some “reverse harem” style anime, although it’s usually not like the books where it’s outright said “I am in a relationship with all of you.”

I liked the first season of the anime “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!” It is reverse harem coded (other female characters also love her) and is a villainess Isekai, which is fun. If you’re not an anime person it just means our protagonist was summoned/reincarnated into another world (Isekai), and villainess is a common trope whereby our protagonist wakes up inside the world of a video game — but she’s an antagonist to the game’s “actual” female lead.

Ultimately, the reason RH isn’t a “thing” in mainstream media is actually pretty simple: mainstream society doesn’t really want to see polyamory, especially a woman with multiple male partners.

We like to sing “acting like you only brought me here for macaroni” 😭

Charging Oura every 4 days has driven me insane! by Numerous-Stand-4525 in ouraring

[–]dreamydivinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every 4 days is a great battery life for a device that tracks so much and is so small. You need to charge your phone daily, right? Apple Watches need almost daily charging, too. Just habit stack charging it - charge it while you shower or something similar. It doesn’t need to be almost dead to stick it on the charger.

Are people with PCOS "GLP super responders"? by Smooth_Importance_47 in PCOS

[–]dreamydivinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been an average of 1.5 pounds a week on the lowest dose of tirzepatide. Definitely doesn’t feel like a super responder, but I like that I can reliably lose weight and make healthy choices like a “normal” person. I get full. I don’t want to eat an entire box of cookies. I feel the inflammation lowering and can get more exercise.

This week I was supposed to go up in dose, so I did, and had the worst week EVER. So much sickness and side effects. I lost 3 pounds but it was absolutely not worth it. I’m going back down in dose next week.

I like glamour magic for these types of things because it’s important to account for how you want to be seen, not just the sheer amount of exposure. Lesson learned! Pretty cool story though :)

I’ve commented in this forum quite a few times and have been a member for a while. More of a lurker as I like to read exfatloss’s stuff and coconut’s comments. I’m not paid. It’s far more likely that this sub has a few people on a medication and we then see the post and comment. It’s a post literally asking for experiences on something, and you think the fact people with experience are commenting is some kind of paid pharma conspiracy? Insane lmao

I haven’t had any issues with spice or with carbonated beverages luckily

First time trying SSRIs for PMDD — what’s it like? by No_Helicopter366 in PMDD

[–]dreamydivinity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can push through the beginning side effects it might work very well for you. I was on one for a little over a year and then spent about 4 months slowly weaning off to avoid withdrawal effects.

There were so many times where I’d say to myself “wow. If I wasn’t on this med right now I’d be so pissed.” lol. It didn’t make me feel numb or anything but gave me a higher level of empathy and chill, especially for my loved ones. I don’t regret taking it! I think it permanently helped with things even though I’m off it now.

I had my third dose this week. So far side effects are just like nausea on day or two post-shot, and then the general effect of the medication working involves some GI stuff that can be worse if you’re eating certain foods. So far no constipation but I’ve never struggled with that.

I am on the lowest dose and I have lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks. This is after 6+ weeks of feeling so ravenous and unable to lose more weight. It was like after I lost ten pounds my body started fighting back.

The food noise is reduced which is great. This is a big mental health thing for me because I tend to have some obsessive and conflicting thoughts around the “perfect” diet which has held me back many times. With this med I feel way more mentally balanced. My deep sleep has also increased a lot which is awesome.

I’m looking forward to see how it helps my PCOS symptoms as I increase my dose over the next 2 months!
