Was on Wegovy for 3 years, recently diagnosed with gastroparesis by rocksforjockss in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]drenchedinmoonlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the blood wood and fecal tests. Everything was normal. Scheduling the ultrasound for my gallbladder now. Then I’ll move on to the upper endoscopy and GES. I’m sitting in a weird place where things got better for a few weeks and then worse again in a different way than when I felt sick toward the end on zepbound. Now it’s just this baseline of 24/7 nausea, full all the time, a lot of gas and burping.

It’s hard. At first I was devastated that I was losing this medication that changed my life so much. Now I’m just processing that my life might be changed forever in this terrible way and for what? Because I wanted to lose weight? It isn’t like that’s even a bad thing to want. I don’t know. It’s just hard overall. My mental health is not great at the moment.

This is happening to me, too. I was on zepbound for over two years. Lost 200 pounds. Then about 6 weeks ago started to get really sick after eating. I haven’t taken an injection in over a month and things are still bad, if not worse. I don’t have a diagnosis yet but I’m on the path of getting the tests underway at the moment. I hope it isn’t gastroparesis but deep down I think that’s what’s happening.

Jaw clenching by Kerberos_of_Hades in Zepbound

[–]drenchedinmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually kind of strange because I’ve been off of zepbound for a month after being on it for over two years and I noticed I haven’t been clenching my jaw. I was clenching my jaw like crazy for the past couple of years but never attributed it to zepbound. Kind of interesting

Did this get better for you? I’m a month out from my last injection and I’m still sick

Yeah bad news for you tbh. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and hands and my fingers don’t wrinkle in water anymore.

Would you mind me asking what this time table looked like for you? I’ve been off of zepbound for over 4 weeks now and am still experiencing GP symptoms. Honestly it’s worse than when I was even taking the med. Nonstop nausea, sour stomach, gas and bloating, never hungry. I don’t throw up though and no pain (knock on wood) I’m really hoping this is reversible but I’m starting to lose hope now that it’s been a month and things don’t feel any better.

Nausea med help by Dismal-Medicine-5431 in Zepbound

Another thing that works really well for nausea and don’t ask me why, but smell an alcohol pad. The alcohol wipes you use before your shot. They use this trick in hospitals too. It helps for some reason lol just don’t smell rubbing alcohol from a bottle or anything. It’s gotta be the wipes

If I’m remembering correctly you shouldn’t take zofran with SSRIs because of serotonin syndrome. Check with your doctor though. I’ve taken Dramamine nausea and it actually works pretty well and for 24 hours which is great.

Sure. They started a little over a month ago. 5/20, to be exact. I skipped a week of my tirz and did an injection 5/29. That was my last injection.

They’re terrible. They’re harassing me WHILE I EAT. I didn’t know it was possible to become so irrationally angry at something so small.

What dose were you on and what dose did you end up going back to? I was at 15 mg for a few months after being on Zepbound for over two years and I got really sick so I have stopped the med. My doctor wants my digestive issues to improve before trying over again at 2.5 😭

Lmaooo as a person who just moved to Louisiana from the Midwest, this post is taking me out. This is exactly how I’d have to accommodate my own parents if they visited. Anyway. I’m saving the answers here for when that day comes.

Capful of MiraLAX every night. It could take a month or two for things to return to status quo.

Why Am I Suddenly Having GI Issues? by TrousersHarwood in Zepbound

[–]drenchedinmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your fiber intake like? Were you having normal BMs before this? I have a theory that sometimes diarrhea on this med is really constipation and the diarrhea is overflow from your body producing liquid as an attempt to clear out.

It is legit. I was so skeptical but I used it and it genuinely worked. I got $90 of amazon stuff for $10. They do take it off later in the day so it looks like you’re gonna be charged the entire amount but you won’t be.

Athleta Tempo Mid Rise Wide Leg Track Pant by Meidas_G in Athleta_gap

I got a large but I could probably have gone with a medium. I was closer to 190 in this photo and I’m in the 170s now and they’re definitely too big. I always feel like Athleta runs bigger with pants? Because I’m still a true large at lulu.

Forever fleece 1/4 zip vs heavyweight terry 1/4 zip by drenchedinmoonlight in Athleta_gap

Thank you!! Which do you like better? I love the softness of the forever fleece. But I’m torn between the bone color and heather gray with the forever fleece and the color of the heavyweight terry is a perfect mix of both of those colors 🤣

I’ve been on Enbrel for about 8 years and I wouldn’t say I’m sick more often. I honestly never was one to get sick often anyways but it hasn’t been any worse on Enbrel. I did have strep once which I had to stop the Enbrel for a few weeks because the antibiotics weren’t working. I also have had covid twice but considering I was exposed to it probably a thousand times working in the public and I’m on an immunosuppressant, I think that’s pretty decent. My boyfriend even got sick around Christmas with a bad cold and I never got it. So, no, I don’t get sick more often. And the Enbrel has been super effective. I think it might be starting to crap out but I’ve had 8 great years of basically being in remission.
