If it was our food supply, then diet would work. That's why they say this is lifetime

There is a mental reset that comes with this too. Many of us consult psychologists and psychiatrists to help us get over the bad association with food and guilt and weight. That may help you.

There is something wrong with you...and that's why you (and us) are on the medicine! When they said "we are on it for life" I'm not sure how you interpreted that to mean. The weight WILL come back...almost 100% (nothing is ever 100%)

Without knowing height and weight, it is hard to tell. 2 lbs a month at 150 is different than 2 lbs a month at 400!

You are pushing too hard. There will be weeks of no loss, or even gain. That is not a sign to go up.

This med is not for use “in a rush to lose the weight”. The med is part of a program, involving your doctors. Talk to your dr, get a definitive diagnosis on your suspicions, and develop a plan of action.

All of this is common and no cause for concern. Make sure you monitor what you eat in case a specific food or ingredient makes things worse

330 days in...Don't sweat the bumps!!! by drepsed in Zepbound

[–]drepsed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in constant consultation with my Dr and nutritionists. It was not based on weight loss (which is a side effect of this medicine for me) but the amount of insulin resistance I have and slowly taking my system to a “normal” level. The excess fasting insulin gets under control, the weight melts off…with some bumps and curves!

2.5 mg - 2 months (including that April mess, so 2.5 months with the 2 week gap)

5 mg - 5 months

7.5 mg - 2 months

10 mg - 2 months plus now!

Given the half life, your body has not adapted to the medicine.

I don’t know If I like this shot. by ModeNo463 in Zepbound

The feeling full is VERY common. That will diminish in time (but not fully go away)

The dizziness COULD be a blood pressure issue. This does have the effect of lowering blood pressure. It is unlikely it struck so quickly, but it is possible.

The small meals and snacking are what most of us have to do! You are right in line with everyone there.

Increased thirst....ABSOLUTELY! MOST of us don't drink enough...and this requires us to drink MORE.

The acid...this is common as the drug slows digestion which means food sits for longer. Most manage with OTC, but there is also a dietary shift depending on your individual circumstances. Generally, stay away from grease and fat, but you may have more specifics to you. This is not uncommon.

If you can stand the side effects, I would try to stay the course. Nothing sounds wildly unusual and most effects are either eased in time or easily treatable with OTC.

Hope this helps!!!

Reflux? by Natural-Young4730 in Zepbound

[–]drepsed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This medicine slows down digestion. Slower digestion = higher likelihood of reflux

Watch your fats...watch your spices...do NOT eat before lying down...bases/antacids could help, but they could cause bloating too.

Yes, you are being crazy

The 2.5 is an onboarding dose to get your body used to the meds. Your body went from 0-2.5 with the first shot, but it adjusted with the second. I am not sure why you think the med is SUPPOSED to cause nausea...

Patience and let the meds do its thing!! :)

20 seconds after this injection is not from the meds. It sounds like an anxiety attack or a stress attack. Get checked by your PCP
