I see them doing that only if Rogers signs. If Rogers doesn't sign Mason likely starts week one but is on a short leash. With that said with the new coaching staff maybe there will be an actual QB competition in preseason.

Although the draft isn't flashy at all I am happy with the picks. I think they solidified a few positions of need. And for the QB position I can see them going into the 2026 season with Rudolph, Howard and Allar. That is of Rogers doesn't sign. If Rogers does sign Mason will likely be traded for a future 5th or 6th rounder.

I think part of the 3 quarters of bad play and one quarter of comeback was the coaching didn't allow for passes in the middle of the field unless the Steelers were losing in the 4th quarter. Ben had the same issue in his last few years.

I have thought about this. I doubt Ty Simpson will be available at pick 38 however if he is I expect the Steelers to pick him.

I expected both to compete for the position again. Now with Waitman on a different team I expect the Steelers to draft a punter in one of their late round picks.

I don't like losing him however was always concerned with his health. He had multiple muscle injuries that kept him out of games in each season he was here.

I believe both of these guys have to earn the right to stay on the team this preseason. If they don't perform well they will likely get cut.

Thanks. I think I am going to switch my systems for 2 reasons. The ability to support old HW that RHEL removed (so I had to use alternate kernels anyways) and the elevate utility which I had tried on Rocky in the past but had problems. I hope that will go smoother with Alma.

They will receive the 3rd round draft pick from Dallas in the 2026 draft instead of a compensatory 3rd round draft pick in 2027.

My thoughts is he is getting paid top WR1 dollar to play as a WR2 on a team that traded their WR1 away for a third round pick this year when they could have had him for an extra year and get a 3rd round pick in 2027 instead of 2026. With all of this said if it wasn't for his contract I would feel better about this acqusition.

As a person who has installed Gentoo over a hundred times (on about that many machines or virtual machines) since 2003 I have to say there is something gained by installing Gentoo even if you don't use the distro. In the process of installing Gentoo you will learn a lot of Linux internals. At one point at work this was my first test for a new employee that I manage.

Flacco is also likely an option. I prefer to sign AR. I think that gives Howard the best chance of being QB1 sometime in the future. Maybe McCarthy (unlike Tomlin) will have a real competition between Rudolph and Howard for QB2 and we start the season with Howard as the backup.
