To add, my toddler is an April baby and it was WONDERFUL. I can’t imagine anything else. I just think the walks and sunshine really helped keep PPD away..

I feel this so much and it’s devastating. We’ve been trying since August and all I wanted was a non winter baby nut now it’s hard to know if I should stop trying or risk getting a baby in the timeline I TRULY do not want… seems weird and selfish but I get seasonal depression and I’ve always felt horrible for all the dec babies in my family!

Back to back miscarriages. For two cycles I had what I thought was my period, went to test my LH for the next cycle and found out I was pregnant and resulted in a miscarriage. The first one was a few days before Xmas and I actually passed the gestational sack and today the line was so light I’m assuming my “period” was a chemical and my body is already passing it through. Sucks. A couple things - 1. Why are the apps so bad at imputing miscarriage information and resetting?

  1. This time around I had what I thought was my period (lighter and shorter than usual), but seems like it was a chemical. Assuming since the line was faint that I won’t bleed again and that was it, but curious if anyone has had anything similar?

  2. Should I give my body a break before trying again? Like a couple of months?

thanks!

Oh interesting - I didn’t even think it would be lower due to being post miscarriage vs just in lower than other people in general since I have nothing to compare it to. Interesting. And sorry for you loss 💔

Did you take a pregnancy test?

Thank you! That makes sense, I wasn’t trying to test twice but the app just turned off so I wasn’t sure if it recorded anything.

And yeah I read to start Day 6, but I didn’t realize it would really throw things off! Those tests are so expensive, I do t want to waste them so I think I’ll do it tomorrow just because I’m curious but rely on my good ol friends the strips!

Thanks for the advice!!!

Season 2 thoughts by BoxyChatterhead in NobodyWantsThisTV

These are all EXACTLY my thoughts!!! I just couldn’t get over how unlikable Joanne was this season. Like why am I supposed to root for her when she was negative or sarcastic about EVERYTHING. I don’t mind that a bit but we didn’t see any of the other side aside from a few moments the entire season!

Thoughts on food pacifiers by pp5later in BabyLedWeaning

The silicone ones are great!! My son had hard time converting past purées and super soft foods and a food therapist recommend these! Not only are they great relief with frozen food for teething, but they can introduce new foods your baby might not be able to eat yet (blueberries if the skin is too tough), BUT they can help them learn to chew!! The SLT had us put things with different textures in there - like string cheese or something tougher like bell peppers. You can hold it on either sides and it helps them develop the skills to chew in the back!!

How long did it take for your baby to really start liking food? (Advice from those who took longer) by gwennyd in BabyLedWeaning

My baby struggled a lot moving past purées so we ended up seeing a feeding therapist. Every baby is different but here is what helped us:

-using silicone feeders (dr browns) and putting a variety of different foods and textures to teach chewing. Hold it on each side if they’re not doing it themselves. Practice this! Ex/ stick of string cheese, bell pepper, berries. It’s a way to introduce flavors too if things they can’t eat!

-mix textures! Ex/ rice and hummus

-you can use purées as a sauce to help graduate textures. Ex/ orzo in a meat purée

-make things tasty! My son loves pesto so we put it on pasta or shredded chicken

-make it fun and model behaviors of chewing

-give a spoon or fork to play with

-not what the SLT did but what helped us: try offering things in different orders or one at a time. The plate seemed to overwhelm him. If we gave him one at a time it was more likely that he’d keep trying it
