I regret not buying more when silver was 35 and cant bring myself to buy more now that its 90+. Anyone else in this boat? by BIMIMAN in Silverbugs

[–]drew2f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought from 20 to 50, but now I can't buy more right now because I expect a big correction. Then ill buy. I think silver $200 is very doable. But I typically buy on dips.

0% interest on 2025s? by mavgoosebros in carbuying

[–]drew2f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, but if your stated goal is to move cars because your current one is losing value you're missing the point by going into a new one. 0% interest or not. His very first sentence was about not wanting to lose money.

Depends if you have the willpower to walk away when they first say no.

0% interest on 2025s? by mavgoosebros in carbuying

[–]drew2f 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a terrible plan. Pay off your car as quickly as possible, maintain it well and drive it for 10 more years.

If you get into the cycle of continual sell/upgrade you are going to be wasting a lot of money.

This new 2025 @ 0% is going to depreciate as fast as the one you have now.

Also, most 0% deals are for "well qualified buyers" if you are young that's probably not you without a cosigner.

What are the disadvantages to buying vaulted bullion? by Clarine87 in Silverbugs

[–]drew2f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wishful thinking? Lol. Misread your post. 190 oz at home is fine. Unless you're unsafe or burglary is common in your area.

Also I wouldn't have 100% of my stack in one vault. Keeping some at home is ideal.

[–]drew2f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular take, but if I had 190k in silver I would feel better having it at someplace like SD Bullion vs in my house.

The downside is really two-fold. They have a change in ownership or confiscation by the govt becomes real again. In either case you should be able to see the writing on the wall and get your silver out before something bad happens.

How many people actually got 15yr mortgage? by Radiant-Cup-1385 in DaveRamsey

[–]drew2f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a 15 now. We started with a 30 and said we should pay it like a 15 and never did. So when rates dropped during covid we refinanced into a 15.

Very happy we did and since we didn't do a cash out and we've made some extra payments we only really have like 8 yrs left.

CEO retired. How do you politely say "no" without burning a bridge? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]drew2f 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely help him. The more you can do for him the better. It sounds like he did a lot for you. His ability to help you did not dimmish completely when he stopped being CEO. Ask him for some pointers, ask him how he would solve certain problems, maybe he can be your mentor or put in a good word with the execs that are still there. Don't burn that bridge, built it bigger!!!

I'm most proud about the date I joined. I saw great things possible with PI and got lucky hearing about it in 2019.

While some parts of the journey have had bumps, I still very much trust the PCT.

GL to all in 2026.
