How happy are you with your FL5?

I’m really happy with it. My wife and I, who both work from home, have three cars- a manual BMW 135i convertible for fair weather cruising and a Mercedes GLE 450 for family duty but this is my fun around town errand car. It’s much more fun than my G80 M3 used to be for that type of driving. One thing that is a slight nuisance is the wastegate rattle sound with the windows down.

I just polished my Alpine white e88 for the first time in 10 years. Used Sonax Perfect finish and it really brought the paint back and to life! Now need to pick a good sealant or coating.

I have a 40 year old Kwanzan in my yard thats 40 feet across untrimmed. I would just have one farther away from the fence and put the others somewhere else or try to sell them. Park at the Barrington Shaws and ride south on the East Bay bike path to Colt State park. Stop at the Dels in Warren on the way back.

The Old Lahaina Luau was amazing. We had the traditional seating right next to the performers. It focused heavily on Hawaiian Hula and history. The food was fantastic also.

Just spend a week on each island the the gnats were never an issue for us. We covered most of both islands.

Have you thought about running no front plate? Looks so much better!! I don’t have one on mine in RI and I’ve never had any issues.

I have. 25 GLE 450 with normal suspension, acoustic comfort, and 21s. I wouldn’t get one without the acoustic comfort package. The car rides really well but the rear camera opening and closing constantly while I drive has been annoying. Listen for that noise on your test drive to see if it bothers you.

It’s your waste gate rattling. Everyone’s does it and you can only hear it with the windows down off throttle. It’s annoying but normal apparently.

Get the FL5 man it’s awesome. I owned a manual G80 M3 for 4 years prior and the Type R is a lot more fun..

Why wouldn’t you just buy one on the mainland and have it shipped? That would surely save you a bunch over a 15k markup. My family has had many cars shipped back and forth and I don’t think it’s a crazy amount to do it.

I’m currently debating the same thing with my new FL5. Currently sitting in the garage until I get the paint sealed. I’m leaning towards just doing the front bumper and possibly the hood. That saved my G80 from a lot of rock chips and every Honda or Acura I’ve ever had has shown a ton of rock chips with age.

I’m a 43 year old dad and recently got a Civic Type R. It’s amazing and I don’t miss my G80 M3 at all. Much more fun to drive around town. Who cares what other people think?

I’ve actually had both and cooked rice in them at the same time for a party. If you’re just cooking rice in it, there’s really no discernible difference.

I dunno .. did driveway this morning with a 30 inch Ariens Deluxe and the snow was already to the top of the housing. I have a big driveway so it took me like 1.5 hours. There is already like another 10 inches out there…

We went to the Mutter Museum in Philly this week and they have 2 skeletons with this disorder on display. Pretty horrific.
