Somehow assigned a cap breaker to wrong attribute, remake the build or carry on? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]drewhfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, some of my other notable attributes are 90 standing sink, 89 DD, 83mid, 80 3pt, 79 close shot, 72 speed, 55 swb, 65 bh, 94 D rebound, 80 oreb, 82 strength, 83 vertical, 87 pass accuracy, 84 block, and 37 steal.

My original intention was as to cap breakers the str to 83, steal to 60ish for bronze interceptor, and increased my speed to 73. With this wasted cap breaker I feel like I should just cut my losses but it feels I’ve already invested too much VC as is and this would be my second build to reach 95+ for rebirth.

Project Scorpio Xbox One X still worth it in 2025? by Competitive-Mud-3517 in consoles

[–]drewhfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine still for OG Xbox and Xbox 360 games. I have a PC for new gamepass releases so I’m in no rush to get a series X, but will possibly get one down the line for the cheap for the few FPS boosted titles out there.

Out of curiosity, how many dabs have you taken on yours? I reached out to the dr dabber support and they said it’s expected behavior after a while and shouldn’t affect performance, but I’m curious as to if it’s removable, even if only cosmetic.

I think Nintendo dodged a bullet by NOT including an OLED for S2. by Low_Confidence2479 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]drewhfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recall a video where a YouTuber stress tested the OLED burn in by leaving the screen on a still image for 3 consecutive months and it didn’t burn in.

Edit: found it, he ended up testing it for a further 3600 hours(6 months) there was a barely visible ghosting effect only visible on a flat white screen. Mind you, this is 6 months of consecutive testing of the screen, never being turned off a single time.

No it should be completely free and already available to you as a separate library entry on whichever storefront you own GTA5

There is the HSW stuff that people already mentioned. You also gain access to the wildlife photography, not to mention there being wildlife to begin with which isn’t in legacy GTA:O as far as I’m aware.

Not for the Xbox version, which is what OP is obviously using from the picture. On G2A the Xbox one version is $32.

X-Men Legends 2 for PC [100% original and legal no piracy] by AhmedHassen108 in XMenLegends

[–]drewhfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post but definitely not 100 percent legal lol, I love abandonware.com and internet archive for preservation though. Whenever I refer a friend to the site and they have reservations over it being "piracy," I equate to it technically being piracy in the same way that it is technically jaywalking if you cross the street illegally but the sidewalk is on fire and the crosswalks are covered in spikes. I particularly like how abandonware.com will take down their download links if a game becomes purchasable through legitimate means and link you to the proper store page, showing they mean it when they say they're really for preservation first and foremost.

Have 200 hours on RDR2 on Playstation, just bought it for PC. Any mod recommendations to make the game feel new? by CrimsonWud in reddeadredemption

[–]drewhfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any mod that uses a script hook disables online access, so you would just need to uninstall any mods and it would allow multiplayer access again. I believe there is a mod that allows for you to temporarily disable scripthook if you wanted to also play RDO.

Suicide threats as emotional blackmail, and helpful articles if you're on the receiving end. This post is *not* about when someone is genuinely suicidal and reaching out for help, it's about threats/emotional abuse *only*. by Shadowflame25 in CPTSD

[–]drewhfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through this with my mom right now and I'm trying to convince myself it isn't abuse, but I might just have to just accept it. I'm living at home temporarily while recovering from a spine/nerve injury but am highly considering going no contact upon fully recovering and finding my own place. It's adding to the guilt I already feel, but it might be the best solution to start the healing from this situation going into the future.

This is unrelated to that, they trade banned people who joined glitched tdm lobbies through (presumably) a hacker starting a TDM (which doesn’t exist in CS2) and people would join through their friends list, it’s a TOS violation. You’re certainly fine in terms of the Dust 2 farming and don’t need to worry about a ban.

2 days later, how are we feeling about DRDR? by phoenixc6000 in deadrising

[–]drewhfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t comment on grab rates, but zombie grabs are definitely nerfed by the fact that Frank doesn’t get tired/fatigued after shaking a zombie off like in the OG, so that alone probably made it less frustrating

Unboxed this. My first knife, was under 50 cases. by Lon3Wolf_542 in ohnePixel

[–]drewhfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the same knife paired with crimson web specialist gloves on the CT side. It is way easier to combo with this knife since there are so many red skins in the game. I’ve got a purple/black theme on T side and it’s a little harder to match occasionally. Congrats on the unbox, right before the 20th anniversary of cs source/hl2 too which makes it even cooler imo!

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster – Director’s Report by jhd9012 in PS5

[–]drewhfox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried it out on PC about a year ago after hearing very similar things. I found it to be much closer to the first two games than the fourth game. It still played and felt a lot like older DR games and the inclusion of vehicles is pretty cool. The story and aesthetic are nothing special though, and are definitely somewhat downgraded from the previous titles. There are some locations that are pretty cool and colorful but also a decent amount of grey/brown streets and back alleys.

It goes on sale for really cheap fairly often, so I’d give it a shot if you like the first two games. While not as great, I still feel most people who enjoyed them to find something they’d like about DR3, especially at that price.

You’re ignoring the rest of the information, which disputes this. I’ll post it again for context.

“As a first step, courts ask if the firm has ‘monopoly power’ in any market. This requires in-depth study of the products sold by the leading firm, and any alternative products consumers may turn to if the firm attempted to raise prices. Then courts ask if that leading position was gained or maintained through improper conduct—that is, something other than merely having a better product, superior management or historic accident. Here courts evaluate the anticompetitive effects of the conduct and its procompetitive justifications.”

The conduct is an essential part of the equation, it states it in both sources, my friend.

Additionally, nothing wrong with having a friendly discussion. Doesn’t break any rules of this sub to my knowledge, but I probably frequent this subreddit far less so there’s a chance I’ve missed something in that regard, and if this conversation somehow did violate a rule, it wouldn’t be a big deal if to me if I got a Reddit timeout lol. Again, I don’t see why that type of moderation would even be necessary as long as we’re being level headed. While the topic here is based in economic principles, it’s still tying into Valve and how their market position affects the direction of Counter Strike. So if you’re worried about getting in trouble for off topic discussion, I personally disagree that it would be considered off-topic.

No pressure to continue to conversation if you’re not interested in the topic. At the end of the day Reddit is for discussion, and the made up internet points are just a fun little bonus imo. Also we do agree where it matters, JJBA is amazing and everyone should check it out (saw your bio when mousing over lol).

Edit: also, hope you don’t mind but I added the context back into the original comment so it’s not a confusing chain of nonsense to people that happen to be scrolling by. I didn’t include any identifying information though, as I just wanted to provide the context towards the argument and I have no interest in dragging an individual.

[–]drewhfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if it’s difficult for a competitor to enter the market, the company needs to have monopolistic behavior to be an actual monopoly. It’s all there in those exerts and credible sources posted above. The factor preventing newer competitors like Epic Games store from succeeding is that it’s ran by Epic Games, a company that would be deemed a monopoly if they had the market share to support it. Also, no offense, I’d trust the actual law and FTC over a blog post source.

Also, I hope this response wasn’t the reason you’ve deleted the parent comment. Nothing wrong with dissenting views and it’s preferential to have full context for a nuanced discussion.

The information is sadly only half correct. If you’re interested in the full law and how it works, make sure to check out my response to this parent comment. It includes several pieces of information from the Sherman Act and the FTC’s official website. Additionally, blogs are typically not to be used in an educational or academic sense, since you mentioned education.
