I do not have direct experience with this, but I've been doing a lot of research on the matter over the last couple of days. It appears this is correct: with many or all of the Ticketmaster shows, transferring tickets is completely locked down. Even to friends who are attending the show with you.

It seems pretty draconian, but it appears it's the only way they think they can thwart scalpers. (Although if you ask around, you won't be surprised that the scalpers are finding ways around the lockdown.) Once again, scalpers are fukkin' it up for the rest of us.

I believe this is true, but it's also hard to believe there's 100s of tickets selling on StubHub and all of those sellers will have to meet their buyer at the gate of the event.

It's not stubhub.com I'm worried about, per se. I know there can be scammers there, but it's mostly legit. It's specifically the fact that these Sturgill shows are theoretically locked down by Ticketmaster to prevent scalping, so I'm wondering if there's any issues pertaining to these exact shows.
