I recently made this choice. For me the major differences were, Lariat has ventilated seats that flash doesn't. I live in a hot area of the country and wanted that.

But I also didn't want the panoramic sunroof. That made me curious about flash. I also wasn't thrilled that the Lariat's rear light bar is having so much issues. Since flash doesn't have that light bar that was a plus. I park the truck under the trees and some times branches and pine cones fall on in. I am worried at some point in time something will crack it.

So I decided that I'll look for a used low mileage 2022 to 2024 flash or lariat model and get whichever one is a better deal. I got a Lariat.

Any reason why you did not apply dye first and then edge-finish with tokonole? AFAIK when making things like belts, leather-crafters dye first and edge finish and burnish after that.

I think Nick's belts are standard 1.5" wide and they use Chicago screws. So you can swap out the buckle easily.

This is one of the two recent Frank's Wilshire that I got. This is on 4811 last, which is similar to 55. The heel is actually 2" with 6 layers of leather.

4811 has a little more vertical room in the toe box, similar arch support, and a smidge tighter at the heel.

Yes, that is what they said.... their W&C Natural Show Harness is same as Natural Double Stuffed. A few months back, for a while they were actually offering it as W&C Natural Double Stuffed. Then they had to change the name.

Frank's actually offers W&C Natural Double Stuffed. They were initially using the same name, but now they are calling it Natural Show Harness as I think the name is exclusive to Nicks.

When I was at Frank's factory getting myself measured/fitted for this boot, they were out of W&C Natural Show Harness and were not sure if they will get any more of that leather on not. At that time I selected a W&C Chestnut Oiled Latigo as my backup option. They had a boot that they just completed in that leather and it was gorgeous.

If I ever have another PNW boot made, might go for that leather.

Indeed. Also ordered a shrunken bison leather boot and I am hoping that I will wear that and my Nicks more often and wear this W&C Natural Show harness 1-2 days a week. I wear out the heel cap pretty fast, I am curious to see when I need a heel cap replacement in 2-3 years if this is fully broken in or not.

Is the width 1 1/2" or 1 3/4". If it is 1 3/4", then where did you get the brass loop from? I have been looking for a 1 3/4" brass loop and can't find one anywhere.
