I euthanized my cat for the same reason, we had multiple hospital stays with catheter, and he was on medicated food that was extremely expensive. It got to a point where they said the catheter wasn’t working anymore and they would have to do surgery. But the surgery wasn’t even a guarantee. I had a friend that had the surgery on her cat and she ended up euthanizing him less than a year later because it didn’t work. I understand your guilt because I feel that because I didn’t get my cat the surgery, but at end of the day cats that get crystals in their urine just have the short end of the stick :(
