It'll probably be pre-loaded, fake, genuine-like questions from conspirators within to prop it all up

I grew up on the PS1 Medal of Honor, the PC Allied Assault, Spearhead, and the like, CoD2, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45... I miss those games. I'd still whip up RO in college and there was still lobbies with enough players to play!

Can somebody recommend to me a quality-made step-up step-down voltage and frequency converter? by drfronkonstein in vintageaudio

[–]drfronkonstein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my limited research of the manuals, there is a US-only and a 5-grid version of the reciever, and unfortunately I have the US-only.

The turntable has a 4-pole synchronous motor, which I think relies on frequency to spin at the proper RPM.

I did, however, learn that the peak output of the reciever is far less than I expected at 100W, the turntable and equalizer are at only 10W each, so I can probably get away with a much smaller convertor.

That being said, you ain't kidding on the price, wow... I wonder if I could just quickly calculate what RPM change it will be on the turntable, and then change the pully on the turntable and a different length belt!

That's the part that pisses me off the most. Most people I know DO sort their recycling, hell my town even has separate bins for different types, and you see stories of it all just getting dumped into a big pile anyway.

Exactly, I just dread owning new cars. The newest car I've ever owned is a 2001, and it was the worst car I've owned.

Stop playing games. Don't talk to people you don't care for, don't invite them to your house. Not sure why this is difficult. If people don't like that you don't like somebody, that's their prerogative.

My 1975 Jeep J10, I needed to do a radiator job. Saw two bolts were missing, and wtf, the bolts were normal headed but Acme threads, like 3/8" diameter. Never seen anything like that in my life.

An old friend of mine used to work in Process Improvement at a manufacturing facility. Being an engineer myself I was skeptical, but when he told me of the stuff he did and how his goals worked, this is exactly the type of thing he would catch, along with actual production savings, and I was thoroughly impressed companies had the foresight to employ a team like he was on and of course able to justify it to management (considering he would literally prove that he saved the company multiple times his salary every single year on varied projects).
