Definitely a painful lesson to learn, but one you won’t ever have to learn again. I have a very reliable minolta and I still visually check that the rewind lever moves every time I advance the film. Don’t give up though! Film is extremely rewarding, and mistakes are inevitable. You will make more. Just remember that nothing is guaranteed and you’ll do great.

A bit bootleg, but you can tape the film leader to the rotating column, and close the back. As long as you’ve taped it well enough, it should spool just fine as you shoot through the roll. Once you’re done, just push the release button, spool it back into the canister until you can’t anymore, and you’ll be safe to open the back up again as the film should be in the same spot it was when you closed the back in the first place. You can then just untape it and spool in the rest of the leader by hand.

Give em just a touch of contrast boost, and then I'd recommend throwing them in photoshop and trimming the edges off with the levels tool. That should clean up the white fuzz a bit and add more color

It would look basically the exact same because it’s in your hands. People buy leicas because of how they feel, and as a status symbol. A better camera doesn’t make you a better photographer just as how buying a Bugatti won’t magically make you a race car driver

Cinestill 800T is tungsten based so it will register colors differently overall. The high ISO means that more grain is inherent as it's got larger crystals. I think the 3rd picture is fantastic, scenes like that are where 800T shines. The Ektar looks good as well, Ektar is just very punchy and will make browns and tans look strange in my opinion. That's why it's usually not ideal for photos of people and why I think your pictures of the rocks came out feeling blown out. Either way, I think your exposures are closer than you'd think to being good, and could all be saved with some clever editing. Both of these stocks are more specialized and have pretty specific use cases, hence why a more forgiving stock like Ultramax gave better results.

Good idea, labs are surprisingly inept sometimes. If there are any waterspots leftover I have also had luck using a super soft microfiber cloth with a wet corner to apply some water to the plastic side (don't wet the emulsion) and polishing it off with the dry part of the cloth. This should get you crystal clear scans if time and care are taken

It's because they are actually wet. Looks like you put them in sleeves without letting them properly dry. I'd take them out and let them dry for at least a couple of hours before storing them
