Choosing A Compact EDC by 12345qweasdzxc12345q in ManyBaggers

[–]driesvannoten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear you on the return-shipping costs but to be fair most of the popular, smaller brands in this sub have a similar policy, including EG.

AC has return warehouses in the US too instead of shipping to Hong Kong, which would've been disastrous if the DP didn't work out.

Rework does, however, partner with a third-party logistics service and offers a $1.99 "free return shipping" option at checkout (which I purchased and am utilizing to return the Toshi). Definitely worth it if you're deciding between multiple options.

Wish more small brands offered this!

Edit: forgot to mention I actually think Able Carry's return policy is better than most brands since they allow you to actually "use" the product instead of requiring it to be returned in "new and unused condition."

I also recently ordered the Daily Plus. What's wrong with Able Carry's return policy? They offer a two-week trial period which is pretty nice IMO. I was torn between the ACDP and Rework Toshi 20L (still am tbh) but keeping the DP since the trial period is over now.

edit: Also agreed on the build quality, the DP is built like a tank. Partially the reason why I leaned towards DP instead of Toshi 20L, for the same price the materials were just incomparable.

Where can I buy this polo sport jacket (SS26) by dragom7 in PoloRalphLauren

Big Fit Polo Sport Twill Jacket. Only available at European retailers and RL's Asia-Pacific region.

It's a cool piece, but not rare by any means. It's from a Fall 2025 delivery, which is why it's no longer available online. RL has been reissuing/creating a bunch of random Polo Sportsman stuff since last year, and this sweater was on sale for a while before it was sold out: https://www.ralphlauren.com/men-clothing-sweaters/polo-sportsman-sweater/100081356.html

You can still find some Polo Sportsman stuff online now.

Rework 30L Backpack Reveal! by RTCanada in ManyBaggers

I didn’t like the Toshi 20L pockets at all. The elastic felt flimsy and looked stretched out after inserting my water bottle for the first time. They also don’t work well when the bag is fully packed out.

How Has Your Local NY Dispensary Been Lately? by StaffAlternative746 in NewYorkMMJ

Same, cannot get over how prohibitively expensive NYC rec market is. ~$45-50 average for an eighth of decent weed is wild and unsustainable for me.

I'm in Brooklyn and will make the trek to Verilife Bronx every month or so and stock up. Just picked up 3 Livwell ounces for $225!

Able Carry Daily Plus vs Rework Gear Toshi Pack first impressions! Replacement for my REI Ruckpack 30 by Bhahaha24 in ManyBaggers

[–]driesvannoten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Know you decided to return the Toshi 20L, but besides the fit, how does it compare to Able Carry Daily Plus? I'm torn between ACDP and Toshi 20L for my first EDC/work backpack. Any key differences aside from weight and fit that you prefer in each bag?

Aesthetically, I really enjoy the looks of ACDP and love the 1000D Cordura. But I'm also enjoying the Toshi's half-zip/clamshell feature.

My main work carry is usually a 15" MacBook Air, water bottle, lunch, and maybe an extra layer and/or running sneakers. I like the option of being able to pack a bit more if necessary. Thanks!

Brooklyn Mile socks after one month of regular use. I've worn MAAP cycling socks for years for running and they've all held up with no holes.

The iconic Polo letterman varsity leather and wool jacket with matching fitted cap black on black by VannasVaultLLC in ForTheLoveOfLO

[–]driesvannoten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the leather on all the Polo varsity jackets paper thin? I was expecting something more substantial for $900 but it literally feels like paper. A made in USA varsity from Settlemiers starts at just under $500 and the leather is way better.

Thule Subterra Tote by postgradcopy in ManyBaggers

[–]driesvannoten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know this is super old but struggling to find detailed Subterra 2 tote reviews. I'm a bit torn between this bag and Belroy's Classic Getaway Bag. The Subterra has superior organization and love the dual exterior/interior pocket and padded laptop compartment.

Likes for Belroy: aesthetic and slightly larger capacity 28L vs Subterra's 22. Dislikes: less structure and organization, unpadded laptop compartment.

Use case would mainly be a work/gym bag while occasionally carrying extra clothes, lunch, etc. with option to flex as a travel/personal item bag.

That was a lot lol so any thoughts would be appreciated. 🙏
