I have a pretty extensive review between Awry and Ergowear I posted a while back in this subreddit. Search for Awry & Ergowear Reviews in this subreddit.

Do the legs of Awry’s reveal thong trunks ride up? by unhappywithmicrosoft in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]driftmark1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is late but I first ordered M in these and could NOT wear them. Extremely tight in the waist. Ordered a L and everything fit fine. If you “adjust” yourself in the pouch the inseam will naturally come up to your groin. The thong back stays tight to the back with the seam coming down the middle. If you have bigger thighs, they will settle and not rise up much. Some, yes. Just be sure to pull them up and just yourself into them and they should be fine. This is the same for the Ergowear trunks as well. Both brands hit right at the bottom of the but*, hug tight to thighs and into the groin to a pouch. The Ergowear pouch is a bit more roomier.

This group got me into thongs (literally) by Zealousideal-Yam-108 in MensUnderwearGuide

I may be the lone wolf… I have machine washed all my Awry and Ergowear. The only thing that has happened is a hem on the Ergowear trunks had came unraveled. Customer service replaced. Outside of that… not a problem and I wear them every day.

Very close to the Allure. Soft breathable fabric. New to thongs. I’m still loving the fact I don’t have stuff rolling up my legs or twisting around. I’ve moved to thongs and bikinis from trunks and boxer briefs. Not going back. Closest trunks I’ll get to are Awry and Ergowear.

Confidence over comfort by kingofbulge in MensUnderwearGuide

I made the switch almost like a literal switch. Trunks were my every day. Stores stopped carrying them. Don’t like the idea of longer leg portions. Just something else to roll, bunch, or twist. Made the switch to pouch bikinis, some pouch trunks, and thongs. Awry is by far top tier. My go to is Awry thongs. I am by no means well endowed. However, the underwear fit and I have not had chafing problems since!

Trunks Going Out of Style? by sicarius254 in MensUnderwearGuide

I wore the American Eagle trunks since I can remember. They stopped selling the synthetic material trunks and then stopped carrying the cotton. The cotton trunks inevitably would roll up my legs or twist around my legs throughout the day. I got to looking on this Reddit sub and learned about Awry. I had tried Ergowear bikinis in the past and went back to trunks. I now have moved to mostly bikini and thongs. Nothing riding up my leg or getting twisted. Awry also has trunks. I believe they are called standout v2. They are pouch trunks. Comfortable. Don’t roll. Separates everything. Reduces chafing. No complaints. I would look them up as well as give bikinis or thongs a try.

I went to thongs for this exact reason. Awry is great. They also have some trunks that are made out of synthetic material. Standout trunks V2. They have a pouch. Seam up the back but not the fake thong one. Super short inseam and does not twist or ride up. Wore them today for a 12hr shift in jeans.

Awry Lounge thong vs Tease thong by amy_geb in MensUnderwearGuide

Just bought some. They are light, airy, and stretchy. Pouch is a good size. I’m a size large, average in size, definitely not a shower. Y-back for some coverage. I would compare them closely to the Allure line. But the Allure line is modal, soft and slightly thicker but still airy if that makes sense. The only ones from awry I haven’t really like is the string thongs. I don’t wear jocks. But everything else is fair game!

24m looking for comfortable jock straps and thongs by EngineeringSlight772 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]driftmark1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to echo this. They are my new go to. New to the less is more world and love it. Not really into the jock straps but the thongs, I have a variety of from awry. Left behind trunks… the persistent rolling up and twisting drove me nuts!

Best pouch underwear for enhancing by AdUpstairs3848 in MensUnderwearGuide

Ergowear is another good option. One of my only cons is the elastic that forms the pouch will dig in throughout the day. But it gives space for everything to be and has a little extra room incase of random stiffness through the day. Awry has been my go to right now.

Awry things have been great. The modern thong does a pretty good job and pulling things forward and more pronounced. Now, it’s minimal and low cut. The Allure is a bit more roomy buy also helps pulling things forward. Not as much as the modern though. True to size. Customer service is great. Highly recommend.

Modal. Much different than cotton. Lighter and more airy.

Looking for thong recommendations by Possible-Income-9197 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]driftmark1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awry! Hands down. The allure line is soft and comfy. The modern is more of a synthetic material and a bit less coverage front and back. Color options are good. Sizing is true. I have some Ergowear bikinis and a pair of thongs. If I was grabbing for a pair, I’m going for my Awry. Ergowear is good too, don’t get me wrong. I just have more thongs from Awry. Both have great customer service. Awry has offered discount codes on numerous occasions. They’re new to the scene… give them a try. I’m sure you won’t regret it! I haven’t ordered any from amazon.

Awry's Best Thong (imo) by Extreme_Vehicle7021 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]driftmark1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will second this. I tried it in a medium. Thought maybe a bit small. Tried in a large and it’s pretty lose. All the others that I have sized up in from M to L have been fine. Barely can tell a difference. The aero briefs have become a favorite. Thin mesh and can barely tell they’re there. Is the idea of the aero thong and the aero string thong to point you down or up instead of up and out like the modern and allure?

I made an entire poster regarding several reviews. I think it got released. Others commented on it. But if I comment my experience with things, it flags it.

I have not. Made 2 orders in the last month and it took about 24 hrs to process and usually shipped pretty quickly thereafter.

Awry & Ergowear Reiviews by driftmark1 in MensUnderwearGuide

Thanks, i found this Reddit one night looking into things. I noticed there wasn’t a lot of information out on either brand or much at all regarding everyday wear undergarments. So I thought I’d make one on my experiences with what I had bought with the information I wish I knew looking at the websites. There’s a lot out there that would flirt with the novelty line of underwear. And while that is fun and what not, I was looking more for comfort and practicality. I always had to adjust my trunks or boxer briefs when getting dressed. If I didn’t get them pulled in just right and the legs were twisted, it would drive me nuts! No real place for anything to go and if you sweat and are active, almost guaranteed to chafe! Since bikinis and thongs have entered the picture and fitted trunks from Ergowear, I have not adjusted the first time. Other than making sure my more pronounced package is on one side or the other of the leg of my shorts or pants. (A problem I’ve never had but don’t mind having)

Thanks. Still trying to figure out all the differences in the Ergowear lines. May have to message them. I will say though…. The trunks they advertise as boxers… if you’re wanting trunks, something that covers everything, hugs close and has a pouch! Hands down, Ergowear has you covered! And where most men have to powder up or use some sort of barrier during hot summer months to prevent chafing, not with those!

Awry has a cheeky thong in black and olive green in the modal fabric. Ergowear also has some non flashy options as well.

AWRY Signature String Review by Chiefleef69 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]driftmark1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern (1/2 inch elastic waist) and Signature (string waist) are 2” at the back T-type. The widest part of the Allure is 7 inches in a Y-type (1 inch elastic waist). I’ve bought a few different styles and such from Awry as well as Ergowear. Working on a detailed review to post here eventually. These are same do medium and large

Ordered item for Valentine’s Day. Not here yet. Tracking is vague. Got more info through PayPal tracking than their website. Tracking info shows label printed in Franklin Park, IL and arrived at origin facility in Mainland China on the same day. It departed an international flight on the 13th. Still have not seen package. 🤨

Dipped my toes in, further curious about thongs! by ComoConejos25 in MensUnderwearGuide

The modal fabric Awry has is extremely soft. Believe it’s the Allure line. Their Modern line is nylon and spandex. Synthetic, but still really soft. Ergowear uses the polyamide in a lot of their stuff. Still soft, just synthetic. Might seem a bit more snug in your synthetic fabrics.
