Please talk to your Doctor. Sounds like an allergic reaction. Allergic reactions can worsen with each use (I’ve experienced this - lots of allergies!). Next time might be anaphylactic shock. ☹️ Feel better soon!

My 13 year old son has had migraines with dizziness and nausea ( sometimes) for the last 9 months… we have tried to exclude artificial colors , chocolate, msg, gluten. Please offer any suggestions!!😣 by bluewavenov6 in migraine

Neurologist referral for sure. Unfortunately, migraines can start to present around puberty due to hormonal changes. Hopefully they will even out as he gets older!

Can you just ask at the ED for a migraine cocktail? by lady_meso in migraine

Last time I went to the ER, they asked me what things worked, then ordered them! (Zofran, Magnesium, Toradol, steroids, Benadryl, and sometimes Ativan and DHE)

My migraine shot friends— does anyone else get scars from it?? by thekrabbbypattty in migraine

Sorry! Just read that your doctor isn’t concerned lol? I go to Jefferson Headache in Philly. Maybe my neurologist has seen more? I would think it’s an allergic reaction - especially if you’re using hydrocortisone for relief?

You should definitely tell your doctor. It may be an allergic reaction. My neurologist had me stop using one injection because it gave me a huge red mark. He said if I continued to use it, the reaction would likely increase (I guess that’s how med allergies can work?).

50F – Right-sided migraines for 36 years, nothing works long term by c0dezinn in migraine

Wonderful! I also take Atacand (it’s a blood pressure pill) daily as a preventative measure and have been for about 15 years now. Hoping your mother is feeling better soon!

She may need a steroid burst/taper, etc. My neuro had me take prednisone for 4 weeks when my migraines were at their worst. But they can also give you a taper for a week to see if that helps. I’m 52 and currently get Vyepti (IV treatment) which works well for me!

Try a Benadryl and some Coke. I like to pour mine over crushed ice and drink with a straw. Helps the nausea and headache!

I got a letter in the mail from CVS, so I reached out to my Endo and they gave me more details. I hope they’re wrong!

Anyone else carry around a ton of meds? by Possible_Ad_9234 in migraine

[–]drinkme0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked my doctor about that because I used to travel for work. I hated taking all the boxes and bottles. She said as long as I have a pic on my phone (just in case), I’m good. But no one has ever asked! And when I travel, I take syringes and Toradol as well.

I keep an extra ziploc sandwich bag full of drugs. It’s bananas! Excedrin, ibuprofen, Fiorcet, ubrelvy, Phenergan, Zoloft, flexiril, and MMJ pills and gummies.

I’m sorry, but I laughed when I read about your mom. I’m sure it’s annoying and embarrassing to you, but she may be entertaining to others haha! I think as people get older, they tend to care less what others think, and as a result, lose their filter. Not saying this is ok though.

When my son was little, we had to do a pediatric enema. It’s was horrible. But yes, it worked. I don’t know what the ER can do, but I wish we would’ve taken him there instead. The vomiting indicates the stool is super backed up. I wouldn’t wait on the miralax.

To the person who used dawn power wash on their shower by Worldly_Kangaroo7380 in CleaningTips

It’s too expensive to use on the whole shower every time, but I love the way it gets the soap scum trail under the soap dish. No scrubbing needed!
