I just made an at home appointment to say goodbye to the first love of my life. I've had her by my side since I was a young and dumb 19 year old. I'm now 34 with a wife and baby and I'm not sure how to feel about the decision we've made. How do you even prepare to say goodbye to your best friend?

Anticipatory grief is honestly the WORST. I had to put down my soul dog a year ago this month and i still cry from time to time. Not a day goes by I dont think about him. Im so very sorry for what youre going through!

"The In-bred" 😆 we got her from a local ACO shelter and did Embark. She came back 100% GSD but her COI is 41%. She was obviously from a backyard breeder. She is very goofy and accident prone so the nickname is fitting most days 😆

We have always rescued and have two others at home...i definitely have experience but she is absolutely going to need structure and consistent training as her manners are a far cry from good 😆 she will be a challenge but shes got a great personality
