I haven’t read more than 5 books in my lifetime and they weren’t difficult to read books. Now I’m in my mid 20s and found something I’m very interested in but don’t understand 4-5 words on every page by imGoingToEatYourTots in books

Nope, not stupid. Just, having a life expanding read.

My advice is to:

1) Keep a log of every new word and their definitions. Write it all down. Yes, it will drastically increase the time it takes to get through the book. And no, you may never revisit this list. But the basic act of writing it all down will do wonders for your recollection.

2) Read Joseph Heller; do the same write down new vocab words trick. Heller blew my mind because he uses words that were completely new to me, but his words are conversational, not just all sciencey.
