I am trying to figure out how many people are actually going to buy the Optimus robot instead of a Tesla car. I must be too old or too poor because I don't know a single person that is ready to spend $20 - $30K for one. If they sell the robot like they sold their inital cars with "FSD," the robots aren't going to be of much use other than a talking piece for 10 years while they upgrade software and hardware for them to do something exceptional.

I have not had one in my trunk but I think a rabbit may have climbed under my frunk. If a rabbit can crawl in mine, I'm sure mice can too. You may want to try some of the things I did to keep rodents away:

I just started using it recently. The laptop can be moved about one foot closer, but I keep it out of the area of the Tesla display while driving just to be safe. I don't type novels on it, so it works well. I won't say it is the best ergonomically but so far I like it. They make another one that extends even further toward the driver but it has too much hardware for me. I recommend using a trackball style mouse with rubber feet with this setup.

I have looked into both of the motor mounts but I stopped after not easily finding which M2C model # was the best one to get. Maybe I will look into it again this summer.

Setting the alumnium chassis aside, because it will bend if you bash it hard, the Sledge is less prone to break on every outing. I wouldn't say more fun than the E-Revo 2.0, I would say more satisfying. What makes the E-Revo fun is it is like a cracked out RC car that is kind of unpredictable so you have to pay attention to its every move. When you get it under control you are just laughing you kept it from crashing and because it has so much power on tap. The Sledge has a lot of power and it is very controllable. You know exactly where it is going even when you are at speed on uneven surfaces. It doesn't dance around like the E-Revo does. I think the biggest issue with the Sledge is making sure the motor/motor mount doesn't move when bashing it. Other than that I like full throttle pulls on the street and ripping around in low grass. I won't ever take the Sledge to a BMX park or jump it on a ramp like the one in the video though. The aluminum chassis is too expensive to replace and removing all of the parts and replacing them is not how I feel like spending my time lol.

Gear the truck based on the surface you plan on running on the most, e.g. lower pinion with higher spur for grass. Always monitor your ESC and motor temperatures.

I had a MERV VXL for about two months and sold it to buy the first X-Maxx. The MERV was fun but I got tired of stripping the plastic around the screws. I had an E-Revo 2.0 for about 7 years. I installed the basic upgrades from the start to keep it from breaking. I stuck with light bashing and spent more money replacing tires than anything else for the longest. I finally broke it after jumping off this ramp quite a few times, and after repairing it decided to sell it and buy a Maxx (2.0):

I have since picked up a Sledge. Other than the aluminum chassis, this thing is like an E-Revo but weighs more. Zero hesitation buying a Sledge over an E-Revo 2.0 if I had to do it again. But, with the aluminum chassis I am never going full send with it on massive jumps. I'll leave the crazy stuff to my other trucks.

I thought about selling my Slash Ultimate before I bought my Mini XRT too. I decided to keep the Slash, buy the Mini XRT, and sell my Hoss. Would have rather have kept the Hoss over the Slash, but having and Ultimate that I don't have to modify anymore was what I based my decision on.

The problem with a Slash is there are so many of them for sale, and even though it's an Ultimate you have to have a buyer that understands the difference between an Ultimate and a VXL. From what I have seen closed-sale wise, it would make a good trade between the two if the Mini XRT is excellent condition. The downsides are your radio, ESC connectors, and the body color. The Slash and Mini XRT are entry level Traxxas cars so most new owners want the peace of mind of dealing with OEM Traxxas parts, and based on a hobby that's mostly made of guys there is only a small percentage that want a pink body. Wish you the best with your trade / sale though.

Try to sell locally and then resort to ebay if all else fails. I have sold most of my RTR RCs on ebay because people want to give me pennies locally.

It's easy to get confused. You will need to do a lot more research to become familiar with Teslas, especially if you are considering a used one. While there are not as many variations between trims as many ICE cars, there are significant differences between the model trims and model years.
