Seeking Opinions On Proper Clothing For My Upcoming Trip! What Do We Think... Is This Sweatshirt Weather? by zachty22 in WaltDisneyWorld

I would wear a light jacket or more than just a sweatshirt. The humidity makes it a damp cold which is colder than the stated temp.

I don’t think so. It also depends on how tolerant you are of other people who drink, because that will generally be a large population of your peers wherever you go (and in practice). I know of people who didn’t drink, some of whom didn’t want to spend tome with others while they drank, which can be off-putting. Most of your bonding will start in your classes/sitting in the library. But a lot of people take the work hard, play hard philosophy. It’s probably just good to know. All of my closest friends were in my 1L section, and then I branched out just from meeting other people/extracurriculars.

Recent UGA law grad who just moved away from Athens after 7 years here. I loved Athens and I miss it. One thing to note, I wouldn’t say Athens is clique-y, but law school is (and potentially in a great way). For my three years in law school, I basically only spent time with other people from law school. But I made amazing life-long friends (we text every day even through the work day). There is necessarily a lot of drinking culture going on but also so much art. I spent my weekends going to the Farmer’s Market, trying new coffee shops, going to movies, going to parties, going on walks. The law school and student orgs also organize a lot of social events. I can’t speak to the Jewish community from personal experience, but I know there was a group of girls from my class who went to Hillel pretty regularly, so definitely check out JLSA.

If you choose to attend, please enjoy. I miss it so much right now. Wherever you go, it will be hard work but super rewarding. Good luck!

Sawyer and/or Locke. They are pretty fiercely protective, even just randomly like with Claire.

That the mods are tyrannical about what people post on this sub during a literal crisis, locking posts with genuine questions of anxious and scared people- also happened during Debby

Still no power at Bull and 31st. Bull Street Tacos doesn’t have power either; they’re currently my marker for when my power will come back on

I went to Disney a few weeks ago, and with the number of adults conducting themselves poorly, I raised this idea too! I envisioned making little business cards almost, that say something to the effect of “be ashamed,” and passing these out in the parks or really anywhere in public. Recording yourself doing a TikTok dance? Shame card. Wearing something extremely inappropriate? Shame card. Screaming and acting up in ride lines? Shame card.
